Lurgan Greenhouse will be holding their Annual Fall Event & Customer Appreciation Days on Thursday, September 22nd 8 AM – 6 PM, Friday, September 23rd 8 AM – 6 PM, and Saturday, September 24th 8 AM – 5 PM.

Kids can build a Fire Boat wooden model at Lowe’s Saturday, September 24th at 10 AM.  All kids get to keep their Fire Boat  and receive a free Kids workshop apron, goggles, patch and more. Register ASAP because places fill up fast!

Meadowbrooke Gourds Open House & Fall Workshop dates are September 24 & 25 and October 1 & 2, 2016.  Annual Fall Oops Sale will take place the first weekend on September 24 & 25th.  Create Your Own Fall Workshop will be held both weekends of the Fall Fest.

The 35 Annual M&T Bank Harvest of the Arts has art, music, theater, kid’s fun and great food.  On Saturday, September 24th, over 100 artists will be setup in downtown Carlisle.  The Carlisle Regional Medical Center Kids Alley provides children’s fun and the CenturyLink Building Stage is a great place for music.

On September 24th, the 40th Anniversary Celebration & Community Safety Day will be held at South Newton Township Volunteer Fire Company (16 Firehouse Rd Walnut Bottom) from 10 AM to 2 PM.  FREE Hot Dogs and Drinks along with a coloring contest, Fire Safety Trailer and a Fire Truck Bounce House for the kids. There will also be displays by the Pa State Police, Cumberland County Sheriff Office, Baltimore Life Insurance making child ID’s, Cumberland County Search and Rescue, Shippensburg EMS, West End Fire Rescue, Newville EMS, Volvo Equipment, American Red Cross, Fire Extinguisher Simulator, Vehicle Rescue Demo, Fire Engine Rides and More.

CHAMBERSBURG/GREENCASTLE/MERCERSBURG

Vintage Market at the Old Red Barn located at 1293 Warm Spring Road, Chambersburg will be having a Fall Festival on September 24th 9AM – 4 PM.  In addition to the barn being open, there will be several outdoor vendors, music, face painting, pony rides, and food.

imageFranklin Fall Farm Fun Fest is a FREE event held every fall on a Franklin County farm to showcase agriculture. This year, Barron and Melissa Keefer welcome you to tour their farm on Saturday, September 24, 2016 from 10 AM – 3 PM.  The farm is located at 7623 Valley View Lane, Greencastle.  There will be children’s activities, farm wagon tours, free milk, free ice cream, & MORE.  Visitors will also have the opportunity to take a bus tour to Fayetteville Contractors Greencastle Blacktop Plant.

Country Creek Produce Farm is located at 3746 Etter Road and is home to Franklin County’s largest corn maze.  The “Hometown Heroes” Corn Maze has over 2 miles of paths and takes about 50 minutes to complete.  The farm’s attractions include the 14 acre corn maze, pick-ur-own pumpkin patch, hayrides, animals, pumpkin cannon, and more.

A Miniature Train rides the rails at Norlo Park, 3050 Lincoln Way East, Fayetteville on Saturdays. It is open to riders of all ages. The train, complete with a cattle car and caboose, is FREE to ride on Saturdays weather permitting from 1 PM to 4 PM throughout Summer & Fall.

Stoner’s Dairy Farm and Corn Maze in Mercersburg offers plenty of weekend Fall activities for any age.  This year their corn maze is Jungle themed.  Fall Corn Maze Weekends continue through Sunday, October 30th. Hours are Saturday Noon – 10 PM & Sunday Noon – 5 PM, and Select Fridays 7 – 10 PM.

The Drying Shed (1587 Newcomer Rd, Chambersburg) is having their Fall Open House this weekend.  Thursday and Friday 10 AM to 7 PM and Saturday 10 AM to 4 PM. Specials, Refreshments, and Door Prizes. Large selection of Fall Decor: Pumpkins, Gourds, Indian Corn, Mums, Bittersweet, Dried Arrangements, and more.

On Saturday, September 24, the annual Mercersburg Townfest features more than 120 crafters, artisans, culinary and local vendors, entertainment, with a children’s fun section on the grounds of the Mercersburg Elementary School.

The Mercersburg Beer and Wine Festival will be held Saturday at the Mercersburg Lions Club Park at 405 S. Park Ave. Gates for regular admission open at 1 PM and close at 4 PM, VIP Entry is at 12 PM.  The Mercersburg Beer and Wine Festival will offer an array of 5+ wineries and vintners and 25+ Breweries with 50 craft beers.

GETTYSBURG

imageOn September 24 & 25 is the Fairfield Pippinfest! Fun for the entire family at this old-time country street festival featuring arts and crafts, apple products, live music, car show, community yard sales, children’s inflatable rides, great food and more.  Free parking & free admission.  Saturday, September 24: Community Yard Sales. There will be some craft and food vendors on site.  Sunday, September 25: Arts and crafts show, quilt show, Pippenfest pottery display, food, music, car show, swap meet, Children’s Inflatables, and more.

On September 24 from 7 AM – 4 PM, browse the Gettysburg Outdoor Antique Show.  Featuring items from more than 120 antiques dealers and collectors. Rain or shine.  Carlisle, Chambersburg, Baltimore, and York streets and Lincoln Square, Lincoln Square, Gettysburg.

TIPTON

DelGrosso’s will be having a Harvestfest on September 24 – 25th.  The season finale will feature park rides and entertainment with Panfilov’s Cat and Dog Show, Danny Grant, a balloon stuntman, a historic Civil War encampment, and food and craft vendors.
