Dickinson College Astronomy Club to Host Harry Potter Show, Halloween Star Party

The Dickinson College Astronomy Club will host a Harry Potter and the Halloween Star Party Friday, Oct. 28, from 7 to 10 PM, in the Tome Hall of the Rector Science Complex on West Louther and North College streets.

The events are FREE and open to the public. Visitors are encouraged to wear Halloween costumes.  There will be Pumpkin Painting from 7 – 10 PM.  At 7:30 PM, there will be an Astronomy Talk by Professor Laura Watson.

The following Planetarium shows will be held in the Charles M. Kanev Planetarium, also in Tome Hall:

Harry Potter Show, 7 PM.

What’s Up in the Sky, 7:30 PM.

Monsters in the Night Sky, 8:15 PM.

Harry Potter Show, 8:45 PM.

What’s Up in the Sky, 9:15 PM.

The Tome Hall roof will be open for star gazing with the 24-inch telescope in the Britton Observatory from 7 to 10 PM, weather permitting.
