Shippensburg’s “Drop the Anchor” New Year’s Eve Celebration

On Sunday evening bring the family to downtown Shippensburg for the annual Drop the Anchor event.  The family-friendly FREE community event is sponsored by the Shippensburg Rotary Club.

The activities will kick off around 9PM on New Year’s Eve at the intersection of King and Earl streets.  Entertainment will be provided by Phantom Shadow.  Carriage rides will also be available from 9PM – 11:30PM.    If you need to warm up, Christ United Methodist Church at 47 E King St. will be open 8PM – Midnight with hotdogs and hot cocoa!  One Bean Espresso Bar (32 E King St.) will also be open from 9PM – 12:30AM for those who might want a warm drink.

Free party favors will be provided by the Beistle Company.

At midnight, the anchor will be dropped and 2018 will be officially welcomed.
