Budweiser Clydesdales to parade in Shippensburg on September 6

On September 6, locals will have the rare opportunity to meet and take photos with the Budweiser Clydesdales as they make several stops in Shippensburg.  The world-famous horses will be in Shippensburg from 3PM – 6PM, weather permitting.  The 8-horse hitch team with a Dalmatian seated atop a turn of the century beer wagon will be making several appearances in Central PA the week of September 5 – 10, 2017.

Shippensburg schedule – September 6, 2017

The horses will arrive at 3PM at the Shippensburg Firefighters Activity Center parking lot on Orange Street.  They will stage there and set up from 3-3:45PM.  Around 3:45PM the horses will leave the lot and make a right and then turn right to parade to the front of Arooga’s Grill House & Sports Bar for a photo opportunity.  They will travel King Street and stop at bars en route.  The route continues to Sheetz where they will make a left and stop for a few minutes.  The horses will proceed around the block and head back and make at stop at Orky’s and then continue to the Shippensburg Firefighters Activity Center parking lot around 5:15PM.  They will take about 45 minutes to dismantle the horses (until 6PM).

The famous horses have been associated with the Budweiser brand since 1933, and have appeared across the world in parades, television events and presidential inaugurations.  The horses were a gift by August A. Busch Jr. and Adolphus Busch to their father to celebrate the repeal of Prohibition.
