Lawilowan American Indian Festival at Shippensburg University

Lawilowan American Indian Festival (Updated for 2022)

SHIPPENSBURG, PA:  The Lawilowan American Indian Festival is an authentic non-competitive Native American Powwow where tribes visit, meet, dance, and trade goods. The one-day festival promoting Native American culture has been held annually since 2007.

This year, the family-oriented indoor festival will be held at Shippensburg University’s Recreation Center from 10 AM to 5 PM on Saturday, March 12, 2022. You will see Native Americans dressed in their traditional regalia and enjoy drumming, singing, and dancing throughout the event. The event also includes Native Crafters and Vendors, Native American Cuisine, Storytelling, and Native American Flutists.

The admission fee is $5 per person and free for those under seven and over 65. The event raises awareness for Missing and Murdered Indigenous Women-People.

The Student Recreation Center is located on the campus of Shippensburg University, 533 Lancaster Drive, Shippensburg, PA.
