Borough of Shippensburg’s Trick or Treat Date
This year October 31 falls on a Saturday. Typically all municipalities in Cumberland and Franklin County designate a date and time for area families to Trick or Treat.
The 2020 Fall Newsletter from the Borough of Shippensburg lists Trick or Treat as an upcoming event. Trick or Treat for Shippensburg Borough will be Saturday, October 31, from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. for ages 12 and under.
In years past, Southampton Township Franklin County, Southampton Township Cumberland County, and Shippensburg Township all followed the borough’s trick or treat hours. However, no official announcement has been made for those townships.
Chambersburg Borough’s official stance on trick or treat policy was announced last month. Their policy stated, “It is suggested that families Trick or Treat each year on October 31, from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. in order to give your friends, neighbors, motorists, and police an idea when to expect extra pedestrians and visitors at their door. Participation and scheduling is entirely up to each family.”
