Christmas Light Displays in Shippensburg, Newville, Chambersburg, & Beyond!

Here is a list of Christmas light displays in Shippensburg, Newville, Chambersburg, & Beyond. Old favorites are returning, some with upgrades and a few new drive-through displays!


Chestnut Drive Christmas Lights (Shippensburg)

The England family’s display at 247 Chestnut Drive in Shippensburg features thousands of lights and decorations, including a projector. Tune into 99.1 FM to listen to the music that corresponds to the show. Weather permitting, the show starts at 5:15 PM daily and runs to 10 PM Sunday through Thursday and 11 PM on Friday and Saturday.


Chestnut Grove Winter Wilderness (Shippensburg)

Chestnut Grove Winter Wilderness is a stunning winter-themed display with 65,000 lights in blue and white at 45 Chestnut Grove Road, Shippensburg. The synchronized light show alternates with a static display. Tune your radio to 91.9 FM. The show will run through Monday, January 2, 2023. Hours are Sunday – Thursday, 6 PM to 10 PM, and Friday – Saturday, 6 PM to 11 PM. Please pull off to the side of the road to watch the lights and turn your parking lights on. This year donations will be accepted for Shriners Hospitals for Children. You may also donate online here. Tiny World (Shippensburg)

Tiny World is a miniature village just off Route 11 on Rice Road in Shippensburg, whose dollhouse-like structures are lit and decorated for the holiday season. The bright holiday display in a residential backyard boasts over 20 tiny buildings, including a general store, train station, firehouse, houses, thousands of twinkling lights, and inflatable characters. 

If you go:  Tiny World, 6720 Rice Road, Shippensburg, PA. Please note the attraction is on a residential property, and parking can be tricky as there are few parking spots. However, there is a field you may park in (look for the sign). Stop by Monday through Thursday, 5-8 PM; Friday and Saturday, 5-10 PM; Sunday, 5-9 PM. Twinkling Hill Lights (Newville)

Twinkling Hill Lights is now up and running. Visitors enter the light show at 529 Doubling Gap Road (2.3 miles north of the traffic light in Newville – Route 233) and drive through to watch two synchronized light shows (four songs in each show).  Take your time, progress through the driveway, and enjoy the songs looping and lighting up the night sky! You will exit onto Mohawk Road. The show runs daily from 6 PM and 11 PM through January 6, 2023.


Mount Asbury Christmas Light Show (Newville)

Mount Asbury Christmas Light Show continues through December 18, 2022.  This is a drive-through trail that tells the Nativity Story.  The rustic trail is both paved and unpaved paths and begins at the second entrance. The trail is lit on Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays from 6 PM to 9 PM on Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays.  Update:  Closed on December 16 due to the trail conditions.  The suggested donation is $10 per vehicle.  Mount Asbury Retreat Center is located at 1310 Centerville Road in Newville (three miles south of I-81, exit 37). Lights Music Action Show (Chambersburg)

The Lights Music Action show at 1617 Hawthorne Lane in Chambersburg (off Falling Spring Road) is in its third year and features thousands of lights set to music. Please do not block any driveways or Falling Spring Road. You may enter at Magnolia Ct to keep traffic moving. The show is running now and will continue through January 2, 2023. Hours are Monday – Thursday, 4:30 PM – 9:30 PM, and Friday – Sunday, 4:30 PM – 10:15 PM. Tune into 87.9 FM to listen to the holiday classics and family favorites that correspond to the show. Little Family’s Holiday Light Show (Chambersburg)

The Little Family’s Animated Holiday Light Show at 1290 Mallard Drive East in Chambersburg will run daily through January 1, 5:30 PM – 10 PM. You are encouraged to use the grassy middle area to park.


Country Creek Trail of Lights (Chambersburg)

Christmas at Country Creek featuring Trail of Lights is open at Country Creek Produce Farm. The Trail of Lights is outdoors and features approximately 100 lit displays spanning many acres of farmland. The self-guided walking trail is open on weekends through January 7, 2023. Hours are Friday, Saturday, and Sunday from 4:30 PM to 9:30 PM. Additional weekday dates are December 19 – December 23 and December 26 – 31. The trail of lights is closed on Christmas Eve and Christmas Day. Admission is $13 per person (ages two and under are free). New this year is a 1952 Eli Bridge Ferris Wheel! Tickets are an additional $3.50. Other activities included in admission are jump pads, mountain slides, and a petting zoo. In addition, there is a greenhouse with fresh wreaths, swags, decor, and homemade treats, including baked goodies and apple cider donuts. Downtown Chambersburg

Downtown Chambersburg looks very festive, with over 30,000 lights. The Chambersburg Christmas tree has returned to center stage with twinkling lights around the square, and Main Street is lined with brightly lit trees. Also, see the lights at Chambers Fort Park behind 55 N. Main Street.


Skittle Run Christmas Lights (Waynesboro)

A Synchronized Christmas Light show on Skittle Run Ct features several songs! Tune in to 87.9 FM.  The show runs daily 5 PM – 11 PM. Follow Skittle Run Christmas Lights on Facebook here.


Heritage Christmas Light It Up (Greencastle)

The 2022 Heritage Christmas Light It Up exterior home decorating contest is underway. The Greencastle-Antrim Chamber of Commerce organizes the contest to raise funds for the Greencastle-Antrim Food Pantry. Corl Family (Mercersburg)


The Corl family has a light show on Oakwood Drive, Mercersburg. Tune into 91.3 FM. Most nights, the show will run from 5:30 PM until 10 PM. Please turn off your headlights if you stop. There is a box for donations to support My Neighbor’s Bounty food pantry. 


The Outlet Shoppes (Gettysburg)

The Outlet Shoppes at Gettysburg is known as The Land of Lights during November and December as thousands of lights are added to Main Street. Free carriage rides are offered on Fridays and Saturdays beginning November 25. Enjoy the twinkle of lights and the cheerful sound of jingle bells and hooves as you ride in a beautiful carriage down Main Street. Carriage rides can be picked up outside the food court on two remaining dates Friday, 12/16: 5 PM – 8 PM, and Saturday, 12/17: 5 PM – 8 PM.  The Outlet Shoppes at Gettysburg is located at 1863 Gettysburg Village Drive, Gettysburg, PA 17325.

Hershey Candylane

Hersheypark is now open daily for Christmas Candylane until January 1, 2023 (closed Christmas Day). Christmas Candylane is a festive experience for all ages with five million lights, coasters, rides, sweet treats, Santa & his reindeer, and a NOEL light show. Rides for all ages are open during Christmas Candylane. Weather permitting, ride six coasters – Jolly Rancher Remix, Candymonium, Wild Mouse, sooperdooperLooper, Cocoa Cruiser, and Laff Trakk. If you are not a thrill seeker, do not worry; you have options! Enjoy a scenic ride with plenty of lights on the Dry Gulch Railroad or the elevated Monorail. The classic Ferris Wheel is decked out in lights and has beautiful views of Hersheypark from 100 feet. Be sure to download the Hersheypark app for a real-time listing of ride availability and wait times.

Hours vary daily, with the park being open from 5 PM to 9 PM on weekdays and from 2 PM to 9 PM on weekends. In addition, the park is open from 12 PM to 4 PM on Christmas Eve and New Year’s Eve. Tickets are the same price no matter what day of the week you visit. In addition, you can save 20% on parking by purchasing a parking pass online, or parking at Chocolate World is free for up to 3 hours if space is available. 

Hershey Sweet Lights

Hershey Sweet Lights is a two-mile trail of fields and woods. It allows visitors to view about 2 million lights on nearly 600 illuminated, animated displays while driving through in their vehicles. Visitors listen to holiday music synchronized to the lights show via a customized radio broadcast inside their cars. Hershey Sweet Lights will remain open through January 1. Guests will enjoy the 12 Days of Christmas before heading to the forest for Fairy Tales and a Victorian Village.  Hershey Sweet Lights are at 1183 Sandbeach Road, Hershey, PA.
