Sailing Through the Winter Solstice | Frederick, MD

Carroll Creek Park in Downtown Frederick, Maryland, features 28 uniquely decorated sailboats displayed in shallow waters. The Sailing Through the Winter Solstice light installation will be showcased until March 2024, with no admission fee. The boats are illuminated at sunset and can be enjoyed both day and night.

The display serves as a fundraiser, allowing visitors to vote for their favorite boat, with donations supporting local non-profit organizations.

Convenient public parking is available at Carroll Creek Public Parking Garage on 44 E. Patrick Street.
