Shippensburg

A Community Blood Drive will be held at Liberty Tax Service on Walnut Bottom Road in Shippensburg on Saturday January 14 from 8 AM – Noon.  Donate blood and get some free goodies in return!  Donors receive:
* Certificate for FREE Tax preparation services from Liberty Tax Service  * 2 FREE tickets to the PA Auto Show  * 2 FREE admission vouchers to a Harrisburg Comedy Zone Show  * FREE T-shirt

Roxbury

The Blue Mountain Skating Rink is located 1 mile west of Roxbury, PA on Rt 641.  The roller skating rink is open for public skating on Friday evenings from 7-9 PM Admission is only $4 and skate rentals are $1.  Kids 6 and under are FREE and non-skating adults are FREE.

Chambersburg

Bring the kids to the Chambersburg Mall on January 13, 14 or 15 to bounce and have some fun!  AE Bounce House Rentals will have their inflatables set up at the mall.  $8 child.  Walk-in and bring your kids to play at any time during the dates and operating hours. Hours:  Friday 5 PM – 8 PM; Saturdays Noon – 7 PM; Sunday Noon – 5 PM.

Vintage Market at the Old Red Barn has their next monthly sale in Chambersburg on January 13, 14, & 15.   Open every second weekend of the month, Friday Noon – 8 PM; Saturday 10 AM – 5PM and Sunday Noon – 5PM.  This month find lots of vintage goodies to help you with organizing and refreshing your home after the holidays.

Dunks for Drew is a quadruple header basketball showcase at Chambersburg Area Sr. High School featuring boys and girls varsity teams from 4 local high schools -Chambersburg, Shippensburg, Greencastle-Antrim and Mechanicsburg.  Admission is $5.  Games are held at 2:30, 4, 6 and 7:30 PM on Saturday, January 14, 2017.  Dunks for Drew is a fundraiser for the Drew Michael Taylor Foundation’s grief education and support programs.

The Cumberland Valley Model Railroad Club will be having an open house on Sunday, January 15.  The event features 10 different gauges in trains with layouts including Jurassic Park, Oil refinery, Lumber Mill, and rural Pennsylvania countryside.  Visit their clubhouse on 440 Nelson Street in Chambersburg between Noon – 4 PM.  This is a FREE event.

Greencastle

Green Grove Gardens is teaming up with Phantom Shadow Entertainment for a Glow Takeover event the last three weekends in January!  Activities include laser tag, black light mini golf, dancing, games, a black light photo booth, face paint, and more.  The price is $12 for all ages.   There are additional fees for photo booth strips, face paint, food and drinks.  The Glow Takeover event will take place at Green Grove Gardens inside the Grand Barn at 1032 Buchanan Trail East, Greencastle.  DATES:   January 13 – 15, 20 – 22, 27-29   Fridays 6PM – 12AM  Saturdays 4PM – 12AM  Sundays 4PM – 10PM.  You may buy tickets in advance online ($1.65 additional fee) or at the door.

Harrisburg

The 101st Pennsylvania Farm Show will run Jan. 7-13 from 8AM to 9PM and January 14 from 8AM to 5PM.  The show will be held in the Pennsylvania Farm Show Complex & Expo Center, North Cameron and Maclay Streets, Harrisburg.  It highlights the state’s agricultural industry and will feature nearly 6,000 animals, 10,000 competitive exhibits and 300 commercial exhibits.  Admission to the Farm Show is free, however there is an extra charge for the Butterfly House, Tractor ride, Merry-go-round,  Professional Rodeo Cowboys Association Rodeos Jan. 12-14, food and vendor purchases.  Parking is $15 at all Farm Show-operated lots.

Hershey

Zoo America has $6 Fridays where all visitors get in for $6 every Friday during the winter through March 2017.

January 14, 15, and 16, 2017 is the annual Community Weekend at the AACA Museum. Throughout the weekend, admission to the Museum will be $7 to everyone, and guests can participate in a Museum wide scavenger hunt to locate your favorite “Cars” from the Disney-Pixar Cars movie that are hidden throughout the Museum.

York

FestivICE, York’s winter ice festival is Saturday, January 14, from 9 AM to 3 PM.  Live ice sculptures, 40′ Ice Slide, S’more and Camp Fires, Live Bands, hockey goal contest, Face Painting, Inflatable Bounce Houses, frozen turkey bowling, rides, games.
