How a Couponer Shops!

Before I breakdown my next shopping trip, I will quickly explain how a Couponer (is that a word?) shops/thinks.

We take a portion of our weekly budget and use it to  build a stockpile.  We stockpile by buying items when they are on sale and we will most likely have a matching coupon.  We buy products before we need them so we do not run out of an item causing us to buy full price.

Each week we do the same thing and before long we have a well stocked pantry.  Our shelves are filled with a variety of food, toiletries, etc. that we do not need to buy again until they are at a price we are willing to pay.

For example I picked up 5 cream cheeses this week.  Do I need 5 Cream Cheeses this week?  Absolutely not, but the expiration date is not until June 2015.  I won’t have to buy cream cheese again until the next hot deal comes around!  Having a few more of something allows me to not buy something at full price.  Every week I shop only the best deals plus buy produce & meat.
