The Parade for the Memorial Day Holiday will be Monday, May 25, 2015 at 2:00 p.m in Shippensburg. The parade will form at 1:45 p.m. at the corner of King and Prince streets.

North Square Farmers Market, 50 N. Main Street, Chambersburg kicks off its season Saturday, May 23 from 8 a.m. to noon.  Over twenty local vendors will offer local produce as well as cheeses, breads, fresh-cut flowers, baked goods, handmade soaps, & MORE. Live music by Dan McCarthy at 8:45 am and Don’t Look Down at 10 am. Voila! Children’s Art and Creativity Center will also host a free children’s craft from 9am – 11am. Children ages 3 -12 can sign up for POP (Power of Produce) Club.  Members receive $2 in tokens per market visit to be used on produce or vegetable plants!

Jim’s Farmers Market, 255 Grant Street, Chambersburg will be having a Petting Zoo and Horse & Buggy Rides on May 23rd 8 am to 2 pm. Jim’s Farmers Market has Amish Cooking, Baked Goods, Meats, Produce, Gifts & More.

Artsfest will be held Memorial Day Weekend in Riverfront Park, Harrisburg, PA.  May 23: 10am – 7pm; May 24: 10am – 7pm; May 25 10am – 5pm  Features hundreds of artists. Artsfest also has food vendors, performance stages, a kids fest area and more. In conjunction with Harrisburg Arts Fest, there will be Superhero Weekend, honoring the local heroes i.e. local volunteer, business leader, teacher, community official or the average citizen.  The Harrisburg Senators will be conducting fireworks displays after their home games on Friday, May 22 and Sunday, May 24.

The Conococheague Institute, 12995 Bain Road, Mercersburg, PA 17236 is holding its Annual Rose Walk Open House on Sunday, May 24th from 1 pm to 4 pm!  Explore trails and gardens throughout the grounds, including nearly 200 varieties of fragrant antique, old and modern roses. The buildings on the site will be open. A guided tour of the site will be available. Outdoor games for all ages will be hosted by Miller’s Early American Games. Picnic facilities are available. FREE event.

Renfrew Institute’s Youth Festival 2015, Kids on the MOVE! is Sunday, May 24, 2015, 12:30 pm to 5:30 p.m at Renfrew Park. Features a variety of workshops, demonstrations, activities, exhibits, and entertainment throughout the day that will get kids moving. The theme this year is Kids on the Move, with special dance performances by Spirit of the Dance Studio, and a guest performance, Dancing Through South Africa, by Lesole’s Dance Project. For 2015, Sunday, May 24th and Saturday, July 4th have been designated Pennsylvania’s Fish for Free Days!  Fish for Free Days allow residents and non-residents to legally fish on Pennsylvania waterways on the designated days with NO FISHING LICENSE REQUIRED (Trout/Salmon and Lake Erie permits are also NOT required). Michael’s Kids Club is every Saturday from 10 am – Noon for ages 3 and up. For $2 your child can make a seasonal craft for 30 minutes while you shop!  On Saturday, May 23rd the children will be making a Red White & Blue Craft Stick Flags. Sign up at Classes & Events | Michaels Stores.
