Open Airplane Afternoons at Hagerstown Regional Airport

Hagerstown Regional Airport(HGR) and the Hagerstown Aviation Museum present a behind-the-scenes look at Hagerstown-built aircraft during Open Airplane Afternoons. Bring the kids and prepare to climb aboard the Fairchild C-82 and C-119 Flying Boxcar. Or check out the 1928 Kreider Reisner KR-31 biplane, 1943 Fairchild PT-19 WWII Trainer and Fairchild 24, all built in Hagerstown. Admission is free but donations are accepted.

Museum merchandise, books, DVDs and hats will be available for purchase. By making a $100 donation, you can experience the thrill of open cockpit flying, weather permitting. All attendees will receive a free museum magazine and aircraft collection color poster.

• July 19, 1 p.m.- 4 p.m. Open Airplane Afternoon (C-123 Homecoming)
  
• August 16, 1 p.m.- 4 p.m. Open Airplane Afternoon – National Aviation Day
• October 3, 9 a.m. – 4 p.m. Wings and Wheels Expo 2015 (an aircraft and car display with public Airport Open House)
  
• October 18, 1 p.m. – 4 p.m. Open Airplane Afternoon

Event location: Hagerstown Regional Airport Terminal 18434 Showalter Rd, Hagerstown, MD 21742. Follow signs. Park in the terminal parking lot.
