Bubba’s Country Music Festival is coming to Shippensburg this weekend, September 9th & September 10th! The festival is held at Shippensburg Fairgrounds on Possum Hollow Road. Throwback to 80’s on Friday night and Kickin’ it with Country on Saturday! Friday Night’s bands are: Skid Row, Quiet Riot Saturday’s bands are: Chris Young, Cassadee Pope, The Charlie Daniels Band. CHAMBERSBURG

Saturday, September 10 is the Second Saturday Event at Chambers Fort Park in Downtown Chambersburg. Enjoy FREE live music and family friendly movie.   September 10th – Nick Andrew Staver trio performance /Star Wars: Episode VII – The Force Awakens.

On Saturday, September 10 from 10 AM – 2 PM is the Air Hill Church’s Fun Fest.  Air Hill Church is located at 7041 Cumberland Highway, Chambersburg. Something for everyone, Pedal cars for adults and kids. Games, crafts, food.  Everything is Free.

MERCERSBURG

Stoner’s Dairy Farm and Corn Maze in Mercersburg offers plenty of weekend Fall activities for any age!  This year their corn maze is Jungle themed.  Fall Corn Maze Weekends continue through Sunday, October 30th. Hours are Saturday Noon – 10 PM & Sunday Noon – 5 PM, and open Friday nights beginning Friday, September 16th; 7 PM – 10 PM.

SaunderosaFest 2016 is Saturday, September 10th from 10 AM – 5 PM.  Admission: $3 per person (6 & under are free).  Food & Craft Vendors, Whitetail Climbing Wall, Swamp Fox Wood Burning Demo, Activities, & MORE.

The York Fair runs Sept 9 – 18th.  America’s oldest fair, with offerings including entertainment and concerts.

The annual Fairy Festival in the herb gardens of The Rosemary House and Sweet Remembrances, 120 S. Market St., Mechanicsburg is on Saturday September 10 and  Sunday September 11, 2016 10 AM – 4 PM.  Children 11 years old and under are Free when accompanied with an Adult.  Adult admission is $5/person.  Music, activities, bubbles, fairy lore and more!  Crafts and activities, including fairy wings to decorate, free fairy tattoos, free mining for gem blessing stones, free fairy-dusted potpourri, ivy halos, and music and entertainment. Some additional fees may apply for certain crafts located in the Craft Barn and Craft Tent.  Held Rain or Shine!

HAGERSTOWN

The Young Eagles program has introduced more than a million and a half youth to flying over the past 20 years.  The Hagerstown Regional Airport will host Breakfast and Lunch Fly-in, Drive-in on Saturday, Sept 10.  There will be Young Eagle plane rides, free to ages 8-17, 9 am – noon.  FREE Young Eagle Rides are First Come, First Flown and will be held weather permitting.  You can learn more about the Young Eagles program by going online to youngeagles.org.

The next Hagerstown Aviation Museum “Open Airplane Afternoon” will be Sunday, September 11.  Bring the family out to the Hagerstown Regional Airport to climb aboard and sit in the cockpit of the historic Fairchild C-82 and C-119 Flying Boxcar and PT-26 aircraft. The Downtown Summer Slide Festival will feature a 825-foot-long water slide down West Washington Street in Hagerstown, live Bluegrass & Americana music inside the beer garden in University Plaza as well as food trucks, vendors and FREE kid’s activities.  Downtown Hagerstown from 11 AM – 4 PM on Saturday, September 10th.  Regular slide tickets are available for purchase in 30-minute waves from 12 PM – 4 PM.

A Miniature Train rides the rails at Norlo Park, 3050 Lincoln Way East, Fayetteville on Saturdays. It is open to riders of all ages. The train, complete with a cattle car and caboose, is FREE to ride on Saturdays weather permitting from 1 PM to 4 PM throughout Summer & Fall.  Saturday, September 10ths will also include Storywalk, Information Table, and Book Giveaways.

The 36th annual season of the Pennsylvania Renaissance Faire at Mount Hope Estate continues every Saturday and Sunday and Labor Day Monday through October 30, 2016. The Faire features costumed characters, themed entertainment, music, dancing, 90 shows daily, 22 royal kitchens, artisan merchants, and handcrafted wares. Mount Hope Estate is located in Northern Lancaster County at 2775 Lebanon Road, Manheim, PA. The event is rain or shine.  Gates open 11 AM and close at 8 PM. Each of the 13 weekends will showcase a different theme.
