Looking for something to do? Here’s a list of events and activities happening in the greater Shippensburg area today & Sunday.

Shippensburg/Roxbury

Shippensburg will continue the weekend of holiday festivities sponsored by Downtown Organizations Investing Together on Saturday.   11AM – 1PM Brunch with Santa and Holiday Crafts & Gingerbread making continuing until 2PM.  All activities are at Christ United Methodist Church 47 E. King St.  There are no fees to attend the events. Everyone is welcome!

The SASHS Drama Club is presenting Peter and the Starcatcher on November 18 at 7PM in the high school auditorium.  Tickets for the production of Peter and the Starcatcher are available at the door and cost $5 for students and senior citizens, and $10 for adults.  Cash or Check only.  Bring a canned good to donate to King’s Kettle and save $1 on the admission price!

The Little Princess Playhouse will present Cinderella and Royal Gong Show at 10AM and again at 11:30AM on Saturday November 18 in Stewart Hall, Old Main Drive, Shippensburg.  Tickets for the double feature are $5 and will be available at the door but seating is limited. Parking is free and available at nearby Memorial Auditorium.  The playhouse is sponsored by Shippensburg University’s Department of Music and Theatre Arts and features university students.

Lurgan Lions Club Holiday Vendor & Craft Show is on November 18 from 9AM – 1PM.  Vendors and Crafters will be set up at Lurgan Township Recreation Center, 13978 Cumberland Hwy (Roxbury).

Greencastle

Organized by VerStandig Broadcasting, the Greencastle’s Christmas parade begins at 9:21AM on Saturday, Nov. 18, with a route along East Baltimore and South Carlisle streets.

Chambersburg/Fayetteville

Grove Family Library’s Winter Holiday Sale is November 18 from 9AM – 3PM.  Book Prizes, Raffles, Bake Sale, and Vendors.

Country and Christmas Craft Show is an “ALL” crafters and artisan event.  The craft show is being held at Kauffman Community Center, Chambersburg on November 18 from 9AM – 3PM.  Anything country, crafts, and Christmas related items.

A Lularoe Fundraiser for the Chambersburg Phoenix 11u fast pitch softball team is Sunday November 19 from Noon – 4PM at CASHS cafeteria.

Come and enjoy the start of the holiday season with the Annual Chambersburg Christmas parade on Saturday, November 18 at 5:30PM.  The parade starts on Main Street at King and continues down Main Street to Washington Street, turns left to 2nd Street, then continues back to Lincoln Way.  The parade is rain or shine.

The Inn at Ragged Edge is hosting a free Russian cultural event on Saturday November 18 at 7PM.  The evening features the Nottingham Ensemble performing works by Russian masters.   Russian wines and snacks will be served.
