Here’s a roundup of where to see the jolly man in Shippensburg & Beyond on November 30, December 1, & December 2, 2018!

Friday, November 30

Carlisle

The Downtown Carlisle Christmas Parade is Friday, November 30 at 7PM.  The parade theme is “Light Up the Night.”  Parade units will consist of dancing troupes, costumed characters, floats, marching bands, and more. The parade day will include additional family oriented activities including a visit from Santa Claus, a Christmas tree lighting ceremony, community caroling, a free Christmas movie (Jingle All The Way).

McConnellsburg

Festival of Lights is a community Christmas event held at the Fulton County Fairgrounds.  Enjoy the drive through outdoor light exhibits on Friday, November 30, 6-9PM.  There is an entry fee of $4 per vehicle. Be sure to stop at the Welcome Center to see Santa and get your pictures taken with him.  Crafts for the kids, a train display and cookies and hot chocolate too.

Chambersburg

Santa is at the Chambersburg Mall.  Go here for the dates and times.

Harrisburg

Santa’s Wonderland is at Bass Pro Shops, 3501 Paxton Street, Harrisburg.  There are free crafts, games, and activities.  Please refer to the website for specific times.


Saturday, December 1

Shippensburg

The Fellowship Ministry of Memorial Lutheran Church will be hosting a free Breakfast with Santa on Saturday, December 1, 2018.  The annual Santa Breakfast will be held at Memorial Lutheran Church Fellowship Hall, 34 E. Orange St. Shippensburg from 8AM – 11AM.  This is a FREE community event with breakfast, crafts & time with Santa.  Reservations are appreciated but drop-ins are welcome.  Contact the church office at 532-4614 or office@memluth.org.

Carlisle

Bosler Memorial Library invites you to Doughnuts with Santa.  Enjoy Saturday morning doughnuts and juice with Santa at the Bosler Library from 9AM– 11AM on Saturday, December 1.  There are holiday games, classic holiday cartoons, and a free gift from Santa for each child.  Parents and grandparents, feel free to bring your camera to capture the holiday memories.

A Breakfast with Santa is Saturday, December 1 at the Middlesex Township Recreation Building.  Enjoy a holiday story read by Mrs. Claus, craft, and visit with Santa.  $3/person, 2 & under are free.  Please call 717-249-4409 by November 29 to register.

Chambersburg

M&S Harley-Davidson will have a Santa Photo Shoot on December 1 from 10AM – 3PM. Donate a new unwrapped toy and have your photo taken by LA Cameras. Santa will be on his Harley-Davidson motorcycle. Bring the whole family – pet photos are welcome too!

Greencastle

Santa’s Stop & Shop will be Saturday, December 1 from 9AM to 3PM at the Blue Heron Event Center, 407 S. Washington Street, Greencastle.  Cash & Carry gifts to go.  Santa Claus is coming from Noon to 2PM.  Raffle items & door prizes all day.

McConnellsburg

The 14th annual Santa Breakfast at the Rouzerville Community Center is December 1.  Sponsored by the Rouzerville Lions Club, the breakfast will be held from 8 to 11AM and will include pancakes, scrambled eggs, sausage, orange juice, hot chocolate and coffee.  Cost is $5 for adults; children 12 and under may eat for free.

The Red Run Express will offer free rides on the Santa Express from Noon to 2PM Saturday, December 1 weather permitting.  The train at Red Run Park is open to children and adults.

 

Mechanicsburg

Start the holiday season with Cookies with Mrs. Claus at the Upper Allen Twp. Building on December 1, 9AM – 11AM.  Morning activities will include crafts, face painting and writing their Christmas letters to Santa. And make sure to bring your camera to photograph your child’s visit with Mrs. Claus.  Donation: $5 for children 12 and under, $2 for adults .

Sunday, December 2

Chambersburg

Santa will be at PetValu in Chambersburg on Sunday, December 2 from Noon – 3PM.  Come get your pets picture taken with Santa!

Fort Loudon

Area residents are invited to share holiday cheer at the annual Christmas in the Village from 5:45PM to 8PM on Sunday, December 2, at the Fort Loudon Community Center.  Caroling will start at 5:45PM in preparation for Santa’s arrival on a horse-drawn wagon.  In addition, there will be a craft for kids, holiday tunes on a piano, refreshments, and wagon rides will be available till 8PM.

Biglerville

Join Boyer Nurseries & Orchards in celebrating the holiday season during their annual Open House days. At Christmas time, they offer holiday apple and citrus gift baskets, evergreen & balsam wreaths, fresh cut holly & greens, jams, jellies, honey and more!  Shop their open house on two weekends – Saturday, December 1 & Sunday, December 2, and Saturday, December 8 & Sunday, December 9. On Saturday, hours are 7AM – 5PM and Sundays from 11AM – 5PM.  In addition, on Sunday, December 2 & 9 between 1-3PM, children can have their picture taken with Santa on an antique sleigh.
