Area Easter Egg Hunts on April 20, 2019

Easter is this Sunday, April 21!  Here’s a list of Easter events in the South Central PA area this Saturday!


 

SHIPPENSBURG:  The Local Gathering Church of the Nazarene presents a free Easter Egg Hunt with Silly Saturdays Weird Animals on April 20, 10:30AM. The event includes music, craft, egg hunt, and light refreshments. Babies to 10 years old. Adult Egg hunt following at 11:30AM.


ORRSTOWN:  Orrstown United Brethren Church (3689 Orrstown Rd) will have their Egg Hunt on April 20 at 10AM. Crafts, games, Easter Story, Egg Hunt, and Prizes.


NEWBURG:  On April 20 from 1-3PM, come out for a Community Easter Egg Hunt sponsored by the Newburg-Hopewell Fire Police & Auxiliary held at the Newburg First Church of God. Age groups for kids 0-11 years of age. There will also be games and prizes. Bring a basket.


CHAMBERSBURG:  An Easter Event at Pleasant View Mennonite Church, 346 Warm Spring Road will be held Saturday, April 20, 10:30AM – Noon.  Activities at 10:30AM, Egg hunt at 11AM.  Ages 3-10 can enjoy fun activities/crafts, egg decorating, an egg hunt, scratch art, the Easter Story, & snacks!  There is no pre-registration – simply show up!

CHAMBERSBURG:  Have your picture taken with the Easter Bunny (and receive some candy) at M&S Harley Davidson on April 20 from 10AM – 3PM.  Donations are requested to support Bikers Against Child Abuse.


NEWVILLE:  An Egg Hunt by Newville First of God is April 20, 10AM.  Children up to age 12 will enjoy games, face painting, egg hunt, meet the Easter Bunny, prizes, and the story of Easter.  The church is located at 475 Shippensburg Rd, Newville.

NEWVILLE:  The American Legion Post 421 is hosting an Easter Egg Hunt on Saturday, April 20 beginning at Noon for children ages 0-10 at 10 Little League Ave., Newville.

NEWVILLE:  The Green Spring First Church of God will host its Annual Easter Egg Hunt on Saturday, April 20 beginning at 1PM.  More than 4,000 filled eggs will cover the church grounds.  Children will be split into age groups: 3 and under, 4-6, 7-8, and 9-10, and an area for special needs guests.  Refreshments will be served following the egg hunt.

NEWVILLEJoin in an Easter Egg Hunt, visit with the Easter Bunny, and take a Pony and Carriage Ride during Doubling Gap Ranch’s Easter EventDoubling Gap Ranch in Newville will be hosting its first ever Easter Event on April 20, 10AM – 2PM.  The free Egg Hunt at 10AM will have 3 different age groups each with its own separate section, ages 4 & under, 5-8, and 9-12+.  Carriage rides are available for a nominal fee (3 yrs and under free, 4-12 $3, and 13 and older is $5).  Face painting is by donation.  In addition to meeting the Easter Bunny, you can pet bunnies and mini ponies.  There will be a food stand open from 10AM – 2PM.  The event is held rain or shine!  Doubling Gap Ranch is located at 1167 Doubling Gap Rd, Newville, PA  17241.


GREENCASTLE:  Greencastle Lions Club will sponsor a Community Egg Hunt on Saturday, April 20 at Tayamentasachta Environmental Center at 1PM.  Bring your own basket.  There will be 4 age groups (1-3, 4-6, 7-9, 10-12).


WAYNESBORO:  An Easter Egg Hunt at Renfrew Museum will be on Saturday, April 20 at 1PM.  The event is sponsored by Brother’s of the Brush.

WAYNESBORO:  Waynesboro Volunteer Fire Department will be holding an Easter Egg Hunt rain or shine on April 20 at 10AM.  The location of the hunt is Memorial Park in Waynesboro.  Children will be separated into different age groups 1-3, 4-6, and 7-10 years old.

WAYNESBORO:  Otterbein Church invites children age 2 through 5th grade to this year’s annual OC Easter Egg Hunt at Otterbein Recreational Park on Welty Rd. in Waynesboro. Bring a bag or basket and come early!  The egg hunt will begin promptly at 11AM.


MERCERSBURG:  Welsh Run Stables is hosting a Spring Fling on Saturday, April 20, 2-4PM.  750 Count Easter Egg Hunt, Pony Rides, Cookie Decorating, and more.  Egg hunt kicks off at 2:30PM.  Rain or shine event.  This event is free and open to the public.   Welsh Run Stables are asking for everyone to bring a nonperishable food item to be donated to the local food pantry.

MERCERSBURG:  The 79th Annual Mercersburg Lions Club Easter Egg Hunt is Saturday, April 20 at 2PM.  The hunt will take place at Lions Club Community Park.  Age Groups:  4 to 6 and 7 to 12.


BIGLERVILLEHollabaugh Brothers Fruit Farm and Market is excited to invite families to the farm for their annual Hop Along the Bunny Trail event on Saturday, April 20, 10AM – 1PM.  Recommended for children ages 0-8.  Cost: $8 per participating child.  Egg Hunts will be broken up into three age groups, and will occur every 20 minutes, so come any time between 10AM and 1PM to join in the fun.
