The Shop Maryland Tax-Free Week for 2019 is Sunday, August 11 – Saturday, August 17.
That means qualifying apparel and footwear $100 or less, per item, are exempt from the 6 percent state sales tax. Items included are Shirts, Slacks, Jeans, Dresses, Robes, Underwear, Belts, Shoes, Boots and the first $40 of a backpack or bookbag. Accessory items, except for backpacks, are not included.
