Gettysburg’s Synthetic Ice Rink Opens November 22
Gettysburg Ice Rink
Enjoy an evening of ice skating in historic Gettysburg during the holidays. A 1,055 square foot synthetic ice rink is currently being placed on Steinwehr Avenue (next to McDonald’s) in Gettysburg. The rink surface is a synthetic material that mimics the properties of ice.
The Gettysburg Area Recreation Authority will administer the rink which will be open to the public for six weeks, November 22 through January 5*. The cost is $5 per person, with skates available at no extra cost. The rink is being rented from the Spanish firm Xtraice and can be used with figure or hockey skates.
Ice Rink Hours:
Monday-Thursday: 3-7PM
Friday: 3-8PM
Saturday & Sunday: 1-8PM
*Ice rink will be closed on Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve and Christmas Day.
