Tiny World not lighting up this year due to the pandemic

Tiny World will not be open for the 2020 Christmas Season due to the COVID-19 pandemic.  The miniature village along Rice Road in Shippensburg is expected to be open and lighted for the holidays in 2021.

Tiny World posted this statement on Facebook in July, “After much consideration from the entire family, we have come to the decision to not open Tiny World for the 2020 Christmas season for the safety of the community. With the current restrictions, we have found that it may be difficult for our family to put the proper precautions in place to keep everyone safe and for proper social distancing. Although it may be early to make this decision, it is unknown what the situation will look like in the future, and because of the amount of time we put into decorating we found it necessary to make this decision sooner rather than later. We appreciate the support we have from the community each and every year. We intend to open Tiny World back up for the 2021 Christmas season and can’t wait to see everyone again soon!”

Here’s a look back at previous years!
