Winter Spectacular 2021 | East Broad Top and Rockhill Trolley Museum

The Rockhill Trolley Museum and the East Broad Top Railroad (EBT) are reviving a long time museum tradition.  The Winter Spectacular is scheduled for Saturday, February 20, 2021, at the EBT and Rockhill Trolley Museum.  EBT is across the street from the trolley museum but the two organizations are completely separate.  If you wish to ride the trolley and the train on February 20 you will need to purchase tickets from both organizations.

Rockhill Trolley Museum (430 Meadow Street, Rockhill Furnace, PA 17249)

Trolleys will depart frequently from 10 AM to 3 PM.  Trolley tickets are available to purchase now online.  Prices are adult (age 12+) $10; child (age 2 -11) $8; infants (age 0 -1) free.

East Broad Top Railroad (421 Meadow St, Rockhill Furnace, PA 17249)

This throwback event will showcase the M-1, offering both excursions and an in-depth photo session. Heated “caboose hops” will depart hourly (10 AM – 2 PM) for round trips to McMullins Summit. Seats can be reserved aboard the caboose or the M-1 itself. Passengers will disembark at the Rockhill Trolley Museum. Tickets go on sale on February 5 at Noon. Prices are M-1 Caboose ($20.00 Adult; $18.00 Child) and M-1 Seats ($30.00 Adult; $25.00 Child).

The last departure of the day at 3 PM and is the official photography session coordinated by Pete Lerro Photography. Photographers will be transported by the M-1 to predetermined locations, either out on the mainline or in the Rockhill Furnace railyard. The evening will conclude with scenes in the Roundhouse area. Bundle up, wear sturdy shoes, and plan on at least five hours of walking, climbing, standing, and cold weather. The Photography Session is $250.00 per ticket.  Capacity: 12 Passengers

Note:  If you successfully purchase tickets on-line from both the EBT and the Trolley Museum, please send an email at rockhilltrolley@pennvia.com, containing your name, trolley ticket reservation number, and East Broad Top train departure time so they can arrange to issue your trolley ticket before you board their train. This way, you will be able to walk directly from the train to the trolley without visiting the ticket office and you will be assured of a seat on the first trolley departure following the train arrival.
