Pennsylvania State Parks Winter Report

Pennsylvania State Parks offer winter activities for outdoor enthusiasts, including snowmobiling, ice fishing, ice skating, sledding, and cross country skiing. Each state park provides a Winter Report, updated weekly during the winter season. The report monitors snow and ice conditions at each state park.

The report lists the snow and ice thickness, if applicable, and what activities are available at that park. For example, sometimes a park can have snow or ice, but the activities are not available if it is not thick enough.

The report is searchable by the park and by winter outdoor recreation activity. Go here to get started.

Laurel Lake at Pine Grove Furnace State Park is frozen with 7.5” of ice as of January 24, 2022. The ice depth reported is for the ice skating area at the boat mooring area. The winter report indicates that ice skating and ice fishing are currently available. You are not allowed to be on the ice at Fuller Lake.
