Trunk or Treat

T&G Car Sales is hosting its 3rd annual Trunk or Treat for the community at 409 S. Fayette Street, Shippensburg. The event is on Friday, October 21, at 6 PM. In addition to the trunk or treat, there will be a costume contest at 7 PM for the kids with prizes, and Taco Trap Food Truck will be set up.

The event will feature Pumpkin Carvers from two television competition series, Halloween Wars and Outrageous Pumpkins, on Friday and Saturday. Watch as they carve mega pumpkins live! In addition to pumpkin carving, the three-day festival will include Fall craft vendors, Food trucks, Music, Pumpkin Toss, Tractor Parade, Pumpkin Painting, Hay Bale Maze, Pie Eating Contest, Pumpkin Pie Bake Off, Homemade Pumpkin Costume Contest, and more family-friendly fun. Parade

The Shippensburg Halloween parade will march down King Street on Saturday, October 22, at 7 PM. The Shippensburg Kids Event Committee organizes the parade and features spooky floats, bands, and costumed characters.

Treats no Tricks

Treats no Tricks at Shippensburg University will be held Monday, October 24, in front of Old Main (on the lawn) from 5 PM – 7 PM. This event is free and open to the community. Children can come dress in their costumes and celebrate Halloween with the Shippensburg University community. Games, crafts, and prizes for children.

Trunk or Treat

Future Business Leaders of America (FBLA) and various Shippensburg Area Senior High Clubs and Organizations will be holding a Trunk or Treat at Shippensburg Area Senior High School (parking lot behind the school at 201 Eberly Drive) on Wednesday evening, October 26, from 5:30 – 7:00 PM. Children 12 and younger may visit various decorated club vehicles passing out treats. Children (with adult supervision) are encouraged to dress in costume and bring a treat bag for the candy collection.

Red Rooster Pizzaria (2 Neil Road) is hosting its first Trunk or Treat on Thursday, October 27, from 6:30 to 8:30 PM. There will be prizes for the best-decorated cars and prizes for the best costume in each age group (0-5, 6-10, and 11-16 years old).

First Assembly of God Shippensburg (420 Baltimore Road) is having a Fall Family Fun Fest on Saturday, October 29, from 4 PM – 8 PM. Free hot dogs and other goodies, hayrides, and corn maze from 4-6 PM; Trunk decorating contest and Trunk or Treat from 6-8 PM!

South Mountain Chapel BIC Church is hosting a Trunk or Treat at the church (11 Chestnut Grove Rd, Shippensburg) on Saturday, October 29, from 6 PM – 8 PM. Kids (and adults) are invited to dress up in costumes and collect treats from the trunks.  All activities and food are free.  Enjoy Creatures Great and Small, S’mores, and hayrides during this family-friendly night of fun.

Dinner Dance
The Shippensburg Swing Band will host its annual Halloween Dinner Dance on Saturday, October 29, beginning at 6 PM at the Shippensburg Firefighters Activity Center. The evening includes a buffet dinner, a cash bar, live music, dancing, a costume contest, and raffles (baskets and 50/50). Tickets are $35 per individual, $60 per couple,$240 per table of 8, or $300 per table of 10. Tickets can be purchased by calling 718-619-9556 or 717-360-4866 or online. Please reserve tickets by October 15. The Shippensburg Firefighters Activity Center is at 33 W. Orange Street in Shippensburg, PA.

Hopewell Township is hosting its first-ever Trunk or Treat at the Park! On Sunday, October 30, from 4–6 PM at Hopewell Township Park, 218 Shippensburg Road, Newburg, the community is invited to participate in a fun, and safe trick-or-treat event. Please follow these rules and register here if you want to design a fun trunk and hand out candy. There will be prizes for the best boxes.

Trick or Treat for Shippensburg and Newburg (Borough of Shippensburg, Southampton Township Franklin  County, Shippensburg Township, Southampton Township Cumberland County, Hopewell Township Cumberland County, and Newburg Borough) will be Monday, October 31, from 6 PM until 8 PM.

Recurring on October Saturdays and Sundays

K’Land Pumpkin Patch is open on weekends. Of course, it is always exciting to “pick your own” pumpkins directly from a field. However, there are no surprises at K’ Land when your pumpkin hits the scale, as pumpkins are priced by size, not by the pound! No pumpkin is more than $10. Open every Saturday from 9 AM to 5 PM and Sunday from 1 PM to 5 PM through October 30, 2022. They offer games, a petting zoo, hayride, and photo ops, all at no charge! K’ Land Pumpkin Patch is located at 9454 Newburg Road, Newburg, PA 17240. They accept cash and debit/credit cards.
