Christmas Market, Candle Night, Cocoa Crawl, & Festival of Trees | Downtown Chambersburg

Downtown Chambersburg is gearing up for a festive holiday season. On Friday, December 2, 2022, the downtown area will be especially merry and bright with luminaries, a cocoa crawl, a Christmas Market, and the conclusion of the Festival of Trees. In addition, the Chambersburg Christmas tree has returned to center stage, and Main Street is lined with brightly lit trees.

Candle Night

Downtown Business Council will host the annual Candle Night on First Friday, December 2, from 5 PM until 8 PM. The Council For The Arts Chambersburg will host a luminary walk along Main Street.

Cocoa Crawl

The Cocoa Crawl is on December 2. The sale of the mugs will start on the square in front of F&M Trust at 5:45 PM, and the serving of the cocoa will begin at 6 PM. One mug & a wristband (must be worn to be served) is $7. In addition, a limited number of $20 family packs will be sold—2 mugs with four wristbands for two adults and two children under 12. Votes for the People’s Choice Cocoa will be collected at the Downtown Business Council Table in front of F&M Trust.

Christmas Market

Brussel’s Café will host a Christmas Market on December 2, from 1 PM until 8 PM. Meet and mingle with your family & friends, and enjoy authentic holiday food and beverages and a photo booth in a festive atmosphere. Artisan vendors will be in the 55 N. Main Street alleyway, wrapping between Brussel’s Cafe and Fort Chambers. There will be an Ugly Sweater Contest at 6 PM. In addition, carolers will sing in Chambers Fort Park from 7 PM until 7:30 PM. 

Festival of Trees

The Franklin County Visitors Bureau hosts the Festival of Trees, a free event featuring 51 trees and 18 wreaths through December 2. On December 2, stop in between 8 AM and 8 PM. Decorated trees and wreaths are displayed in the lobby and second-floor great room of the Franklin County 11/30 Visitors Center, the former 1865 National Bank of Chambersburg on the square. In addition, visitors can vote for their favorite tree or wreath and participate in the silent auction. All proceeds from voting and the auction will benefit the Cumberland Valley Breast Care Alliance. Santa will also appear on December 2 from 5 PM to 7 PM.
