Drop The Anchor
On Saturday, December 31, 2022, bring the family to downtown Shippensburg for the annual Drop the Anchor event. The event is hosted by Downtown Organizations Investing Together (D.O.I.T) with the support of many generous community sponsors.
The activities will kick off around 8 PM on New Year’s Eve on East King Street (between Penn Street and Earl Street).
This free event features DJ Wheelz, a bounce house, a 128 ft. obstacle course, a giant slide, a photo booth, an inflatable movie screen with live streaming, and more.
Strouse Entertainment will be streaming the Time Square Celebration. In addition, Maxie’s Brew House and Castlerigg Wine Shop will be on-site. Sweet Rollers will have pretzel bites, cinnamon rolls, flavored coffees, and lemonade. The Beistle Company will provide the party supplies.
The anchor will be dropped at midnight, and 2023 will be officially welcomed.
