In Shippensburg

Maplewood Produce & Greenhouse, 8564 Olde Scotland Road, Shippensburg will be having its Strawberry Festival on Saturday, June 6th from 8 am – 4 pm! Pick your own Strawberries. 10% off ALL plants, planters, baskets, & perennials. FREE Ice Cream with Strawberry Toppings.

Furry Fun Day is a two day event on June 6 & 7 for the family and the family dog(s) to raise money for area animal rescues and shelters. The event is held at Shippensburg Township Park, 304 Britton Road, ShippensburgThere will be games, vendors, and food concessions.  Admission is free, but a $5/car donation is requested at the park gate. Keystone Dock Dogs will be entertaining both days. Human and Canine games, lure coursing, and vendors will be both days, agility on Sunday only.  Event will end on Sunday with a Blessing of the Dogs at 3:45. Rain or shine.

Beyond Shippensburg

All-Ford Event at Carlisle Fairgrounds June 5th – 7th. Ford, Mercury and Lincoln fans will have a showcase of over 3,000 vehicles to check out.  During this event, you will enjoy great indoor displays of concepts, customs and historically-significant cars and trucks; test drives by Ford Motor Company, a burnout competition, activities for the kids, industry guests, giveaways, NHRA drag racing, autocross for all skill levels and club gatherings.

Cumberland Valley School of Music’s 7th Annual Neighborhood Chefs Walk is a music and food crawl along 5 blocks of Alexander Avenue in Chambersburg. Event is held Saturday, June 6th 4:00-7:00 PM.  Features 8 renowned chefs and 5 stages of live music with over 40 performers. Enjoy delicious food from local chefs. Tickets are $60.

Central Penn Parent’s 7th annual Harrisburg Family Festival will take place on Saturday, June 6, at the HACC Harrisburg campus 10am – 4pm.  This FREE event includes live music, animals, bounce houses, story-time corner, and 100+ exhibitors with child-friendly activities. Children are also invited to dress up for the costume parades and bring a favorite stuffed animal for a check-up.  Life Lion helicopter will be landing.

29th Annual Foundry Day Arts & Crafts Festival will be held Downtown Boiling Springs on June 6th from 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM.  The event will include fine art, pottery, furniture, fiber, jewelry, handmade brooms, decorative painting, leather, metalwork, glass, photography and ironware. The Appalachian Trail Conservancy will offer butterfly-based activities for children and adults with the theme “Find Your Wings on the Appalachian Trail.” Second Street offers a variety of food and drink, with musical entertainment by The Bookends and activities for the children, including balloon animals and face painting. Free shuttles will run from the Boiling Springs High School. Handicapped parking is available. Rain or shine. No pets.

Cumberland Drive-In Theatre, 3290 Ritner Highway, Newville  Features: Weekend Features: June 5th-7th 1st Feature: Pitch Perfect 2 (PG-13) 2nd: Poltergeist (PG-13) Gates open at 7 p.m. First Feature begins at approximately 9:00 p.m.

North Square Farmers Market, 50 N. Main Street, Saturday, June 6th from 8 a.m. to noon.  Over twenty local vendors will offer local produce as well as cheeses, breads, fresh-cut flowers, baked goods, handmade soaps, & MORE. Children ages 3 -12 can sign up for POP (Power of Produce) Club.  Members receive $2 in tokens per market visit to be used on produce or vegetable plants!

Michael’s Kids Club is every Saturday from 10 am – Noon for ages 3 and up. For $2 your child can make a seasonal craft for 30 minutes while you shop!  On Saturday, June 6th the children will be making a Father’s Day Craft Stick Card. Sign up at Classes & Events | Michaels Stores.
