The Price is Right Live! is coming to the Luhrs Center on Friday, October 14, 8 pm. It is a staged production show based on the television game show The Price Is Right that gives eligible individuals the chance to “Come On Down” to win. Prizes may include appliances, vacations and possibly a new car! More information HERE.

Southampton Township, Cumberland County’s Park and Recreation is hosting a Fall Fling on October 15th.  6 Bounce Houses ($5 for an all-day pass), Pumpkin Patch, Chicken Corn Soup, Carmel Apples, Cotton Candy, Whoopie Pies, Face Painting, Pony Rides, Vendors, Live Music, Pizza, Hot Chocolate, Kettle Corn.  There will be a candy hunt for children ages 5 and under at 4:30PM.

imageLife Community Church at 2249 Roxbury Rd in Shippensburg will be hosting their annual Family Fall Fest on Saturday October 15th from 11 AM – 3 PM. There will be games, inflatables, hot dogs, candy, face painting, crafts, hay ride, and petting zoo…all for FREE!

Katie’s Place Thrift Shop is having its next monthly sale October 13 – 14 – 15 from 8 AM – Noon.  The store is located at the old Martin’s Bakery Building (go down the hill to the bottom of the building) at the corner of S. Penn and E. Garfield Streets in Shippensburg .

Beam’s Blue Mountain Farm will have their annual Fall Fest every Saturday in October from 10 AM – 4 PM.  There will be free hayrides through Scarecrow Hollow to the Pumpkin Fields to the pick your own pumpkin patch, free refreshments, a petting zoo, and a play area for children.

On Saturday, October 15, Mowersville Christian Academy is hosting it’s annual School Auction. The auction will be held in the Family Life Center at the Mowersville Brethren in Christ Church, 14924 West Creek Road, Newburg. There will be quilts, handcrafted items, chicken barbeque, baked goods, silent auction, & more. 9 AM – finished.

Clip for the Cure is coming up on Saturday, October 15!  Get your hair cut to help find a cure.  Holiday Hair on Conestoga Drive, Shippensburg (near Walmart) is participating!  Holiday Hair will donate 10% of the proceeds from every haircut on October 15th to help raise money for the Regis Foundation for Breast Cancer Research.


Pine Grove Furnace State Park’s 8th annual Fall Furnace Fest will be held on Saturday, October 15th 11 AM – 7 PM and Sunday, October 16th Noon – 5 PM. There is no charge to enter the Park or the Festival.  Most activities are free.  The 2016 Fall Furnace Festival features pumpkin carving/painting, hay rides, craft vendors, food vendors, live music, and nature displays. Demonstrations include charcoal making, apple cider making, blacksmithing, and broom making.

The Legend of the Hairy Hand is a Fall Furnace Fest tradition. Saturday evening, October 15th 7 PM at Fuller Lake, the legend will be told and the raft of glowing pumpkins will be set afloat on the lake to keep the hairy hand away. Participants can come early to carve a pumpkin and dip a candle to add to the raft. Pine Grove Furnace State Park is located at 1100 Pine Grove Road, Gardners, PA. The rain or shine event is held in the Furnace Stack and Fuller Lake Day Use Areas.


Dress To A Tea is celebrating 10 Years in downtown Chambersburg!  On Friday, October 14 and Saturday, October 15, everything in the store is half off.  The sale on Saturday is being held during Chambersburg’s annual Applefest.  Snacks and drinks will be offered to customers.

AppleFest is a free family event in downtown Chambersburg on October 15 from 9 AM – 3 PM.  AppleFest features craft and art vendors, live music, as well as food throughout the square.  This free event, run by the Downtown Business Council of Chambersburg, is fun for the whole family and also has kids’ activities and rides.

On Saturday, October 15th from 10 AM – 5 PM is the Harvest Day event at Cowans Gap State Park.  The Harvest Day Festival at Cowans Gap State Park, Fulton County features fall foliage, pumpkin carving/painting, environmental programming, apple cider pressing, seed-roasting, hayrides, demonstrations, live music, craft vendors and more.  Cowans Gap State Park is located at 6235 Aughwick Rd, Fort Loudon, PA.

10th Annual Menno Haven Auxiliary Quilts & Fine Arts Display, Demonstrations, and Sale takes place Friday, October 14 9AM-7PM and Saturday, October 15 9 AM – 3 PM.  New and Vintage quilts, Quilt-related item, Quilt appraisals by appointment, Fine Art, Basket making demonstration, Quilt-related Custom woodwork, Stamp It Up Creations.  Free Admission and Door Prizes.  Many items for sale or consignment.  Family Life Center  Presbyterian Church of Falling Spring 221 N. Main Street, Chambersburg.

Country Creek Produce Farm is located at 3746 Etter Road and is home to Franklin County’s largest corn maze.  The “Hometown Heroes” Corn Maze has over 2 miles of paths and takes about 50 minutes to complete.  The farm’s attractions include the 14 acre corn maze, pick-ur-own pumpkin patch, hayrides, animals, pumpkin cannon, and more.

imageA Miniature Train rides the rails at Norlo Park, 3050 Lincoln Way East, Fayetteville on Saturdays. It is open to riders of all ages. The train, complete with a cattle car and caboose, is FREE to ride on Saturdays weather permitting from 1 PM to 4 PM throughout Summer & Fall.

43rd Annual Fulton Fall Folk Festival is a 3 day countywide event with a variety of vendors and activities in multiple locations with a parade on Saturday, Oct 15 beginning at 10:30 AM.


Stoner’s Dairy Farm and Corn Maze in Mercersburg offers plenty of weekend Fall activities for any age.  This year their corn maze is jungle themed.  Fall Corn Maze Weekends continue through Sunday, October 30th. Hours are Saturday Noon – 10 PM & Sunday Noon – 5 PM, and Select Fridays 7 – 10 PM.


The Annual Fall Festival at Reynolds Farm includes hayrides and pick your own pumpkins.  Over 27 activities are included with your admission, including viewing zoo, playgrounds, mega slides, wagon rides, mazes, games, and more.  Gem Mining, Corn Cannon, Barrel Train, and Face painting are extra free activities on weekends.  On Saturday and Sunday (10/15 & 10/16) from Noon – 4 PM, Reynolds Farm is teaming up with Relay for Life of Washington County for a Special Fall Festival.  Make a baby scarecrow for $5 or they will make one for you for $10.

imageThe 23rd Annual Pumpkinfest at Renfrew Museum and Park, Waynesboro is October 15.  There will be pumpkins for picking, face painting, scarecrow stuffing, pumpkin chucking trebuchet, and more!


Fall Festival on Oct 15th at Camp Elder, 914 Mount Hope Road, Fairfield.  Benefit auction, food and craft vendors, music, games, pioneer-style demonstrations, and an authentic pit-roasted pork lunch.


Visit Hersheypark in the Dark three weekends in 2016 – October 14-16, 21-23 & 28-30. Giant is selling discounted tickets!


Happy Hauntings, Dutch Wonderland Family Amusement Park, 2249 Lincoln Highway East, Lancaster, PA will feature themed rides, special entertainment, and the Trick-or-Treat Trail – a safe, interactive trick-or-treating experience. Saturdays and Sundays October October 15-30, 2016  Times: Saturdays 2-9 PM & Sundays 2-8 PM

The Pennsylvania Renaissance Faire will continue October 15 & 16 at Mount Hope Estate with the theme Halloween Daze & Spooky Knights I. The Faire features costumed characters, themed entertainment, music, dancing, 90 shows daily, royal kitchens, artisan merchants, and handcrafted wares. Mount Hope Estate is located in Northern Lancaster County at 2775 Lebanon Road, Manheim. The event is rain or shine.  Gates open 11 AM and close at 8 PM.
