Trick-or-Treat Nights

Here are the dates/times we have gathered so far for Trick-or-Treat!  Dress up the kids in their favorite costumes and bring the family out to these trick-or-treat nights.

Trick or Treat

NEWVILLE:  Trick or Treat – Thursday, October 26 from 6PM to 8PM.  Newville Auxiliary Police will be assisting at major intersections in town.

NEWBURG:  Trick or Treat –  Thursday,  October 26 from 6PM to 8PM.  Newburg’s Light the Night is also this evening.  Children will have the opportunity to visit the old Fire House on High Street for games and treats sponsored by the Newburg First Church of God.

WAYNESBORO:  Trick or Treat –  Thursday,  October 26 from 6PM to 8PM.

GREENCASTLE:  Trick or Treat – Thursday, October 26 from 6PM to 8PM.

SHIPPENSBURG:  Trick or Treat – Tuesday, October 31 from 6PM to 8PM.

CHAMBERSBURG:   Trick or Treat – Tuesday, October 31 from 6PM to 8PM.

CARLISLE:   Trick or Treat – Tuesday, October 31 from 6PM to 8PM.

 

PROVIDENCE PLACE SENIOR LIVING (2085 Wayne Ave, Chbg):  Thursday, October 19 from 6PM – 7PM. (Trick or Treat Event, Children 0 – 12, bring your children in costume)

CHAMBERSBURG MALL:  Mall Wide Trick-or-Treat Night is Wednesday, October 25 beginning at 6PM until the candy “runs out.” A Costume Contest at Center Stage begins at 7PM.

TREATS NO TRICKS:  The students of Shippensburg University invite you to Trick or Treat on Campus! The annual Treats no Tricks at Shippensburg University will be held Monday, October 23 in the residence halls on campus.  The event kicks off with a Halloween Carnival in front of Old Main from 5:30PM – 6:30PM followed by Trick or Treating.  Parking for the event will be located behind Old Main. Transportation around campus will be provided.

HERSHEYPARK IN THE DARK:  Visit Hersheypark in the Dark three weekends in 2017 – October 13-15, 20-22 & 27-29. Highlights include:  Ride Laff Trakk with the lights off from open to close, enjoy dark rides on three coasters (Wildcat, Comet, and Lightning Racer), kids 12 and younger dress up and enjoy 13 stops on their trick-or-treat trail, and after dark, bring your flashlight for a tour of Creatures Of The Night at ZooAmerica.

HERSHEY GARDEN’S PUMPKIN GLOW:  Hershey Garden’s Pumpkin Glow – October 20 & 21 and October 27 & 28, 6PM – 8:30PM.  During Hershey Garden’s Pumpkin Glow, the gardens pathways will be lined with more than 150 carved, illuminated and themed pumpkins.  Kids ages 12 and younger are invited to bring a flashlight and come in costume while trick-or-treating at eight candy stops throughout the Gardens.  Admission:  Adults(Ages 13-61)  $12.50; Junior(Ages 3-12) $9.50; Senior(Ages 62+) $11.50; Purchase tickets at the door or by clicking here.

STONER’S DAIRY FARM (Trick or Treat in the Corn Maze) Wednesday October 25 from 6PM to 8PM.  (Rain date:  10/26)

TRICK OR TREAT ON MAIN:  Trick or Treat with downtown Chambersburg Merchants – Saturday October 28 from 11AM – 1PM.  (Costume Contest at Courthouse Plaza.  Prizes will be given for best costume in two age groups – 6 & under, 7-13).  Please note:  11AM-1PM is the correct time.  The trick or treat event is listed incorrectly in the Chamber of Commerce Newsletter.

SHIPPENSBURG HISTORICAL SOCIETY:  Shippensburg Historical Society is offering a Kids Trick or Treat on Saturday October 28 from 6PM-8PM.  Crafts, fun, candy, costumes!  Bring the kids for a fun evening at the Shippensburg History Center where you will get to do a fun craft with the staff and then trick or treat throughout the house.  Historically inspired costumes are encouraged.  Free Admission.

TRUNK OR TREAT:  Shippensburg Community Parks & Recreation Authority is hosting a Fall Fest on Saturday October 28 from 5PM – 8PM at Veteran’s Stadium Memorial Park.  This is a free community event & social gathering which includes candy for trick or trunk (6-8PM) and family fun activities.  Hay ride, obstacle course, pumpkin patch, photo booth, carnival games, costume contest, first responders, free coffee/hot chocolate.

TRUNK OR TREAT:  Visit Chick-fil-A Chambersburg for Trunk or Treat on October 31 (4PM – 6PM). Join Chick-fil-A Chambersburg, Country Creek Produce Farm, 92.1 Hits FM, and others for candy & fun treats!

Mongul United Brethren Church’s LIGHT IN THE NIGHT:  The 9th annual Light In the Night is Tuesday October 31 at 6PM-8 PM at Shippensburg Township Park on Britton Road.  A safe and well-lit alternative to trick-or-treating with music, inflatables, hay maze, games & activities, emergency vehicles, food and candy.  Costumes welcome.  Non-food treats will be available for those with food allergies.  This is a free event.
