Places to pick your own strawberries in Shippensburg & Beyond

Picking local strawberries is a great tasty family activity and one of the first signs of Summer!  Here’s a guide to places where you can pick your own berries in Shippensburg & Beyond.  Most locations for picking your own strawberries anticipate opening the week of Memorial Day.


Maplewood Farm Market SHIPPENSBURG

Maplewood Farm Market is located just off I81 at 8564 Olde Scotland Road, Shippensburg.  They are offering pick your own strawberries beginning Memorial Day.  Pick Your Own Strawberries are priced at $2.39/lb.  Bring your own containers or buy theirs.


Country Creek Produce Farm CHAMBERSBURG

Country Creek Produce Farm is located in Marion at 3746 Etter Rd, Chambersburg.  They sell strawberries picked by the quart, flats (8 qts.), and U-pick.  U-pick price is $2.66/lb.  Country Creek is open Memorial Day from 8AM – 3PM.  Cash and credit is accepted.  No checks.     


The Drying Shed CHAMBERSBURG

The Drying Shed at 1587 Newcomer Rd, Chambersburg will have Pick Your Own Strawberries as well as pre-picked berries.  They will open on Memorial Day.  Closed on Sundays. Bring your own containers or buy theirs.


Cross the Creek Farm NEWVILLE

Cross the Creek Farm, 2035 Pine Road, Newville is anticipating opening during the last week of May.  Pick Your Own Berries are sold by weight at $2.40lb.  Picked and sorted quarts will be $5.25/quart.  You can bring your own containers or use quart boxes they provide.

 


Bricker’s Strawberries CARLISLE

Bricker’s Strawberry Farm will be celebrating their 40th anniversary this year.  They are a family owned and operated Pick Your Own Strawberry Farm at 1710 Lisburn Road, Carlisle, PAOpening day for pick-your-own strawberries will be Wednesday, May 29.  Please bring your own containers.  They accept cash or check only.


Oak Grove Farms MECHANICSBURG

Oak Grove Farms, Inc. is a family owned farm that has been around since the 1960’s.  The Country Farm Store at 846 Fisher Road, Mechanicsburg sells produce and bakery items.  They have eight acres dedicated to strawberries.  Opening day for pick-your-own strawberries will be Wednesday, May 29.  Later in the summer you may pick-your-own pod peas, sugar peas, and black and red raspberries.
