Strawberry Picking in South Central PA

Picking your own strawberries is a sweet treat in South Central PA. There’s nothing quite like a perfectly ripe strawberry that has just been picked from the field!
Here’s a guide to places where you can pick your own berries in Shippensburg & Beyond. Most fields open in late-May or early-June. However, since these opportunities are weather-dependent, be sure to check the farms’ website/Facebook page for hours and to make sure their strawberries are ready.
Maplewood Farm Market | Shippensburg

The anticipated date for strawberries: Pick your own strawberries is over for the season at Maplewood. They will have strawberries for sale in the store. Picked strawberries are now available in-store ($6.25 qt. or $3.25 pt.). Maplewood is currently open for picking 8-11AM and 4-7PM. The cost of picking your own berries is $3/lb.
Country Creek Produce Farm | Marion

The anticipated date for strawberries: Picked quarts of berries will be available daily at farm stand 9AM-1PM ($5.75 quart). U-pick berries are now open. Country Creek Produce Farm will be using volume pricing this year instead of by the pound pricing. $5 quart (approximately 1.5 – 2lb) or $16 basket (approximately 5lb)

The anticipated date for strawberries: The strawberry fields are open Monday through Friday from 8AM to 6PM and Saturday 8AM to 4PM. The Drying Shed will be selling by volume not per pound this year. U pick Prices are $4.50 quart and $18.00 for a 4-quart box (6lb.)

Anticipated date for strawberries: U-pick opens Wednesday, June 10th at 5:30AM. Price is $2/lb. or $5/qt already picked. Hours are Monday – Saturday 5:30AM to Noon and Monday – Friday 4PM-8PM.
