Visit Alpacas During National Alpaca Farm Days

National Alpaca Farm Days are this weekend. Celebrate the Alpaca as alpaca farms across the United States open their doors to the public. Here are two local places inviting the public to meet alpacas, shop for alpaca fleece products, and learn about the animals.

Waynesboro

Visit alpacas on Saturday, September 24, from 10:30 AM to 4 PM, or Sunday, September 25, from 1:30 PM to 4 PM at Sugar Hollow Farm Alpacas in Waynesboro. There is no admission fee. The Sugar Shacktheir farm storewill have holiday gifts such as socks, sweaters, hats, mittens, felted soap, teddy bears, and more for sale. Sugar Hollow Farm Alpacas is located at 9955 Masters Road, Waynesboro, PA 17268-9188.

 

 


Carlisle

Bent Pine Alpaca Farm in Carlisle is hosting an open house on Sunday, September 25, from 10 AM until 4 PM. Entry and parking are free. Meet and feed alpacas, enjoy a hayride, see antique tractors, and shop at the Alpaca store and craft and food vendors. In addition, there will be an Alpaca Youth Showmanship & Obstacle Competition at 10:30 AM. Bent Pine Alpaca Farm is located at 65 Old Stonehouse Road South, Carlisle, PA  17015.
