Michaux State Forest | First Day Hike
Celebrate the start of a new year with a First Day Hike!
First Day Hikes are part of a nationwide initiative led by America’s State Parks that encourages all 50 states to offer outdoor hiking opportunities on the first day of the new year.
RSVP for a walk on the Beaver Trail in Michaux State Forest on Sunday, January 1, 2023, at 10 AM using this form, https://forms.office.com/g/WVfREDVWAe . The trail follows the north shore of Long Pine Reservoir and is adjacent to Birch Run Road.
The trail is reasonably flat though you must step over rocks and exposed tree roots in some areas.
The meeting location is the Target Range parking area at 150 Birch Run Road, Fayetteville, PA.
