AppleFest is free family event in Downtown Chambersburg on October 17th from 9 AM-4PM. Everything apple-food, crafts, kids zone, fun for the whole family.

The Fall Furnace Fest at Pine Grove Furnace State Park will be the weekend of October 17-18. This annual event features food and craft vendors, live musical entertainment, historical demonstrations, hayrides, pumpkin carving, scarecrow making, kid’s crafts, & more. Legend of the Hairy Hand and Pumpkin Float on Fuller Lake will be Oct 17 at 7 pm.

Visit Hersheypark in the Dark three weekends in 2015. October 16-18; 23-25; and 30-November 1. Giant is selling discounted tickets!

Toasties Sustainable Table is hosting a Fall Harvest Farm to Table Brunch at Pine Ridge Campground on Sunday, October 18th from 10 am – 3 pm. Ship Saves readers are being offered a $10 discount!

Annual Renfrew Pumpkin Festival will be held on Saturday, October 17th from 11 am – 4 pm. $8 adults, $4 children 4-12 Pumpkin carving, hay rides, live music, fun games, pumpkin-chuckin’ trebuchet, barrel train, and more. Free soup, cider, bread with admission. Hot dogs, soda, and bake sale items sold separately. Renfrew Park is located at 1010 E. Main Street, Waynesboro.

Saturday, October 17th from 10 am – 3 pm is the Harvest Day Celebration at Cowans Gap. Pumpkin carving/painting, hot cider, seed roasting, autumn crafts, tricky trails, apple cider press, hay rides, live music & more! This event is sponsored by the Friends of Cowans Gap. Donations are appreciated, however the event is free. Cowans Gap State Park is located at 6235 Aughwick Rd, Fort Loudon.

The 5th Annual Franklin County Library System Book Sale Thursday October 15th: Grand Opening at 9 am to 8pm. Friday October 16th: 9am to 8pm Saturday October 17th: 9am to 5pm Sunday October 18th: Bag Day 9am to 5pm. $5 per paper bag. Sale location is 140 North 3rd. St. Chambersburg site of Nathan Miller Chocolate.

Fall Festival on Oct 17th at Camp Elder, 914 Mount Hope Road, Fairfield.  Benefit auction, food and craft vendors, music, games, pioneer-style demonstrations, and an authentic pit-roasted pork lunch.

Happy Hauntings, Dutch Wonderland Family Amusement Park, 2249 Lincoln Highway East, Lancaster, PA will feature themed rides, special entertainment, and the Trick-or-Treat Trail – a safe, interactive trick-or-treating experience. On Saturday, October 17, 2015 Mowersville Christian Academy is hosting it’s annual School Auction. The auction will be held in the Family Life Center at the Mowersville Brethren in Christ Church, 14924 West Creek Road, Newburg. There will be quilts, handcrafted items, chicken barbeque, baked goods, silent auction, & more. 9am – finished.

Beam’s Blue Mountain Farm will be having their Fall Fest every Saturday in October from 10am-4pm. FREE hayrides though “Scarecrow Hollow” to the pick-your-own pumpkin patch. Fall decorations, baked goods, a straw bale climbing area, and a petting zoo. Beam’s is located at 13374 Lurgan Rd. Newburg.

Reynolds Farm, 11129 Gehr Road, Waynesboro, is a pick-your-own pumpkin farm with hayrides to the pumpkin patch. Admission includes Hayride, Play Area, Corn Maze, Grass Maze, & more. Tues. – Fri. 9:30-5:30; Saturday 10 – 6; Sunday 12 – 6

Stoner’s Dairy Farm, 7678 Oellig Rd, Mercersburg, offers plenty of weekend Fall farm activities.  Corn maze, hay rides, petting zoo & more.  Hours are Fridays 7 – 10 pm (Flashlight Maze), Saturday, noon – 10 pm & Sunday noon – 5 pm. Please visit their website for details.

Paulus Orchards, 522 East Mount Airy Road, Dillsburg has opened for its Fall Season.  5 acre corn maze, pumpkin patch, pick your own apples, and enjoy some fun in PlayLand with tube slides, corn box, tether ball, giant checker game, little log house, spider web, peddle carts, rubber duck races & more.  All day Weekend Farm Admission $7 (ages 3 and up). Seniors $5 (age 65+). Children 2 and under are free.

The Pennsylvania Renaissance Faire will continue Oct. 17 & 18 at Mount Hope Estate with the theme Halloween Daze & Spooky Knights II. The Faire features costumed characters, themed entertainment, music, dancing, 90 shows daily, royal kitchens, artisan merchants, and handcrafted wares. Mount Hope Estate is located in Northern Lancaster County at 2775 Lebanon Road, Manheim, PA. The event is rain or shine.  Gates open 11 am and close at 8 pm.

Michael’s Kids Club is every Saturday from 10 am – Noon for ages 3 and up. For $2 your child can make a seasonal craft for 30 minutes while you shop!  On Saturday, Oct. 17th the children will be making a Tic Tac Toe Board. Sign up at Classes & Events | Michaels Stores.

A miniature train runs the rails at Norlo Park, 3050 Lincoln Way East, Fayetteville on Saturdays. It is open to riders of all ages. The train, complete with a cattle car and caboose, is FREE to ride on Saturdays weather permitting from 1 PM to 4 PM throughout Summer & Fall!  Last Train boards at 3:50 pm.  Donations are accepted.  For more information go HERE!
