The Shippensburg Area Athletic Association and the Shippensburg Stars will be hosting their Annual Kids Night game on June 24 at 7:00 PM. The Stars will be playing Mount Holly at the Shippensburg Memorial Park. Kids 14 and under will be entered to have their names drawn for prizes between every inning. All names drawn will be entered back into the drawling for the grand prizes held before the 7th inning. Grand prize will be two bikes. Rain date will be July 2.

Lowe’s Build & Grow is having their next event on Saturday, June 25th at 10 AM.  Kids are invited to go to their local Lowe’s to build their very own Iron Man.  You must register your child HERE.

Deerfield Commons in Shippensburg is hosting a “Summer Kick-Off” Festival on Saturday, June 25, from 10-4. The event is free and features a car show, local business vendors, food, and games. A raffle for “door prizes”. Also, the model apartment will be open, and the first 50 people to tour the model will receive $10 cash to spend at the festival.

The Raleigh Ringers will perform at H. Ric Luhrs Performing Arts Center, 475 Lancaster Drive, Shippensburg on Saturday, June 25 starting at 7 PM.  Tickets $25, $20 by visiting Luhrscenter.com The Raleigh Ringers is an internationally acclaimed concert handbell choir based in Raleigh, North Carolina.

South Newton Twp. Vol. Fire Company #49 Annual Fireman’s Fair will be held on June 23 – 25  from 4 PM – 10:30 PM at 16 Firehouse Rd, Walnut Bottom. 4H Petting Zoo, Bands, Bingo/Small Games of Chance, Homemade Food, $10 Ride All Night Inflatables, Fireworks Display after dark on Friday, June 24 (raindate Saturday, June 25).

The Mont Alto Annual Carnival is going on now through June 25, 2016. Fireworks will be held on Friday, June 24 (raindate Saturday, June 25).  Penn Wood Amusements is running the rides. The carnival will include 10 cent Bingo every night, other games and plenty of food. Live entertainment is booked for every night of the carnival. The carnival is held at the Mont Alto Fire Company Carnival Grounds, off of Route 997.

Roxbury Fair is scheduled from Thurs. – Sat., June 23rd – June 25th.  The fair is sponsored by Lurgan Lions Club.  Food & Games.  Location: 13978 Cumberland Hwy Roxbury.

The final Saturday of the 2016 Marion Festivals is June 25th. Free Entertainment with 3 Shows each night (6:15 PM; 7:30 PM; 9 PM). Food Games, Rides. Kitchen opens at 4:30 PM. Free parking.

For 39 years, Carlisle Summerfair has been providing family friendly events to the public around the 4th of July holiday.  The annual festival runs June 24 through July 4.  See the entire schedule HERE

Mountaintop Heritage Days is this weekend at Fort Richie.  M&T Bank is sponsoring the 2016 event that will include crafters, music, food vendors, children’s events, and a fireworks show on Saturday, June 25.  The $5 (per car) entry fee to the event will help provide the resources to continue the Mountaintop Heritage Day celebration next year as well as help fund local scholarships.

Pleasant Hall Vol. Fire Co. is having a Chicken BBQ Sunday, June 26th 11am – 1pm.  Eat-In or Carry-Out Dinners $9.00 include: 1/2 chicken, baked beans, applesauce, roll, ice cream 9722 Cumberland Highway, Pleasant Hall.

Ongoing Events

Cumberland Drive-In Theatre, 3290 Ritner Highway, Newville, is open Friday – Sunday.  Gates open at 7 p.m. First feature begins at approximately 9:05 PM. First Feature:  Finding Dory Second Feature:  Alice Through the Looking Glass  $8 Adults;  $4 Children 3-12; FREE for Children Under 3.

North Square Farmers Market, 50 N. Main Street, Chambersburg continues Saturday from 8 AM to NoonFree parking at the Courthouse.  Over twenty local vendors will offer local produce as well as cheeses, breads, fresh-cut flowers, baked goods, handmade soaps, & MORE. Children ages 3 -12 can sign up for POP (Power of Produce) Club.  Members receive $2 in tokens per market visit to be used on produce or vegetable plants! Membership in POP Club is free. 

On Saturday, June 25th the free miniature train rides continue at Norlo Park, 3050 Lincoln Way East, Fayetteville.  It is open to riders of all ages. The train, complete with a cattle car and caboose, is FREE to ride on Saturdays from 1 PM to 4 PM throughout Summer & Fall!  Last Train boards at 3:50 pm.  Donations are accepted.
