Here’s a list of opportunities to get out and about this weekend!

Shippensburg

A Christmas Craft Fair will be held at The Beistle Company on November 11 from 8AM – 2PM.   Unique crafters will have Food/Baked Goods, Floral Arrangements, Seasonal Decor, Wood Crafts and more.  Everything you’ll find is handmade.  The Beistle Company Annual Craft Fair will be held indoors at 1 Beistle Plaza.

Benefit Bash for the up and coming Shippensburg Station is November 11 from 3PM – 6PM featuring live music.  Proceeds from the show will go toward refurbishment costs for The Station ($5-7 suggested donation).  Location:  Corner of Earl St. & Fort St. (Directly across the street from Pizza Man).

Katie’s Place Thrift Shop is having its next monthly sale November 9-11 from 8AM – Noon.  Everything is 50% off.  The store is located at the old Martin’s Bakery Building (go down the hill to the bottom of the building) at the corner of S. Penn and E. Garfield Streets in Shippensburg.

The Little Princess Playhouse returns on Saturday with productions of Cinderella and Royal Gong Show.  The playhouse will present the Fall double-feature at 10AM and again at 11:30AM on November 11 and 18 in Stewart Hall, Old Main Drive, Shippensburg.  Tickets for the double feature are $5 and will be available at the door but seating is limited. Parking is free and available at nearby Memorial Auditorium.

Chambersburg/Fayetteville

The Cumberland Valley Twenty-One Day Retreat Organization will sponsor a Veterans Day parade in Chambersburg on Saturday, November 11, 2017.  Participants will assemble at 9:45AM on Fifth Avenue and Lincoln Way East and will move west on Lincoln Way East toward the square at 10:15AM.  The program should begin on the square at about 11AM.  In case of inclement weather, the Veterans Day service will be conducted at the American Legion Post #46, 755 Philadelphia Avenue at 11AM.

Royer’s Kids Club will celebrate Veterans Day with a free event Nov. 11.  Children ages 5 to 12 will have an opportunity to make a special Veterans Day arrangement that includes an American flag. Registration is required by calling your nearest Royer’s storeYou will need to select between two time slots:  10 AM and 2 PM.

Snavely’s, 2106 Lincoln Way E, Chambersburg is hosting Night of Lights Friday, November 10 from 6PM – 8PM.  The Christmas Shop will be open with dozens of lighted themed trees, wreaths, garland, & decor!  Light refreshments.  Their Holiday Open house will continue November 11 (9AM – 5PM) & November 12 (10AM – 5PM).

I Heart Handmade Marketplace will be held Saturday, November 11.  Local crafters and all handmade items.  A wide variety of handmade items will be featured – pottery, jewelry of all styles, cards and bookmarks, natural bath and body and wellness products, calendars, customized wall art and decor, car accessories, knitted scarves and hats, candles, seasonal decorations, food, and MORE.  The show will be at Chambersburg Mennonite Church on Philadelphia Avenue from 8AM – 2PM.

Calvary United Methodist Church, 150 Norlo Dr, Fayetteville will have its Annual Holiday Bazaar on November 10 & 11 from 9AM – 2PM. Christmas decorations, gift baskets, knitted and crocheted items, white elephant table, pies, cakes, candy,  soups & sandwiches available.

Scotland United Methodist Church is having its Annual Holiday Arts & Crafts Fair at 4040 Main Street, Scotland on November 11 at 9AM – 2PM.  Unique gifts, homemade food and baked goods.

Christmas Craft Fair at Antrim Brethren in Christ Church is on Saturday, November 11 from 8AM – 3PM.  Homemade Crafts and Baked Goods. Food Court. Pottery, Weaving, Quilting, Wood Crafts Fabric Crafts, Teas, & Herbs, Country Crafts, Candles & Soaps, Antiques & Primitives, Floral Arrangements, Holiday Cards & Prints, Antique Silver Wind Chimes, Long’s Homemade Doughnuts, Children’s Book Reading by “Puppy Girl”.  Door Prize.  Proceeds support Antrim’s Women’s & REAL Ministries.

Vendors and crafters will be set up at Hamilton Heights Elementary Holiday Craft Bazaar on Saturday, November 11 from 9AM–2PM.  Show is hosted by the Hamilton Heights PTO.  Holiday gifts galore available for purchase from handmade crafters and vendors.  Direct sales vendors will be set up also.

Greencastle

Green Grove Gardens Annual Christmas Craft Show is Saturday, November 11 from 9AM – 3PM. The Christmas Craft Show will include local artisans, craft vendors, food and beverages.  Admission & Parking are FREE. Green Grove Gardens is located at 1032 Buchanan Trail East, Greencastle.

Walnut Bottom

The 19th annual Country Christmas Craft Show will be held on Saturday, November 11 from 8AM until 2PM at Trinity Fellowship Center, 110 West Main Street, (Walnut Bottom Road, Rt. 174) in the village of Walnut Bottom.  Lots of handmade crafts and huge menu for breakfast and lunch.  Plenty of parking too!  Check out Trinity Craft Shows on Facebook or visit their website Trinity United Methodist Church for more information.

Mechanicsburg/Camp Hill

SantaFest is Saturday, November 11 at the Capitol City Mall.  Greet Santa Claus as he arrives in the Ecto-1, escorted by the Central Pa Ghostbusters.  Santa’s parade happens at the Main Mall entrance along Hartzdale Drive promptly at 10AM.  Festivities continue inside the mall, at Center Court, in front of Macy’s.
Honored guests, Princesses Elsa & Anna, will be visiting Santa, too.  Thanksgiving and Christmas themed crafts.  Snacks and drinks.  Tickets are FREE but register here.

CommunityAid is having an Anniversary Sale. Everything in the store is 50% off on November 11 from 9AM – 9PM.

Harrisburg/Hershey

Hersheypark Christmas Candylane opens Friday, November 10 and continues with select dates until January 1.  More than 50 rides are open, including 6 coasters.

Hershey Sweet Lights is a two-mile wooded trail that allows visitors to view nearly 600 illuminated, animated displays while driving through in their vehicles. Visitors listen to holiday music that is synchronized to the lights show via a customized radio broadcast inside their vehicles. Hershey Sweet Lights opens Nov. 10 and will remain open through Jan. 1.

Santa’s Wonderland Event Kicks off with Santa’s Arrival at Bass Pro Shops, 3501 Paxton Street, Harrisburg on Saturday, November 11 at 5PM. Santa and the kids, through a little magic, will light his wonderland. There will be Carolers, Hot cocoa, Christmas cookies from Pennsylvania Bakery, and 5 big gift card winners.
