Shippensburg

On Saturday, October 10th 8 am – 2 pm is the Pumpkin Patch Fall Festival at Saint Andrew’s Church and The Episcopal Home (corner of Prince and Burd Streets, Shippensburg). Yard Sale, Flea Market, Fall Decor & Crafts, Baked Goods, Soup, & more.

Free Build & Grow kids workshop on Saturday, October 10th 10 am at Lowe’s. Kids ages 5-12 can build a Spooky Haunted Birdhouse.  All participants will get to keep their craft, receive a FREE workshop apron and completion patch.  This event is full in Shippensburg if you haven’t already registered Here.

Beyond Shippensburg

Fall Fest at Sweet Frog, 1752 Lincoln Way East, Chambersburg on October 10 and 11. There will be raffles and prizes, moon bounce, bouncy obstacle course, face painting, and more! Saturday, Oct 10th 10am-6pm and Sunday, Oct 11th 1pm-6pm.

The National Apple Harvest Festival at the South Mountain Fairgrounds will be held October 10-11, 2015. Hours are 8 am to 6 pm daily, rain or shine. The festival has arts and crafts, demonstrations, contests, food stands, petting zoo, entertainment & more! General tickets $10, Seniors 60+ $9, Military w/ ID $9 (at gate), Kids under 12 FREE.  See the flyer here.

The Carlisle Barracks Oktoberfest will be held Oct 8-11 at the United States Army Heritage and Education Center (USAHEC). There is free admission and fun for all ages. Beer, wine, cider, live entertainment, carnival rides (Single Person Wristband $18), craft fair, soccer match, games and contests, brats, pretzels and giveaways! Thursday: 4-9 pm; Friday: 6-9 pm (time change due to rain); Saturday: 11 am – 9 pm; and Sunday: noon – 7 pm

Wolf Awareness Day will be held at The Wolf Sanctuary of PA, Lititz, on Sunday, October 11th from 11am to 3pm. Wolves, Live music, face painting, games for the kids, educational opportunities, concessions and more! Cost: $10 per person, children under 11 are free.

52nd Annual Catoctin Colorfest at Community Park, Frederick Rd., Catoctin, MD on Saturday, October 10th & 11th 9 a.m.-5 p.m. Nationally recognized juried craft show, demonstrations, and more.  Admission is free to Colorfest, but a nominal fee is charged at the parking locations throughout the town.

The Salvation Army’s 14th annual Women’s Auxiliary fabric sale will be held in the chapel of The Salvation Army, Carlisle on Oct. 9th from 8:00-2:00 and Oct. 10th from 9:00-Noon. Most fabric will be sold at $1 a yard! Other materials for sale include yarn, thread, ribbon, lace, sewing and embroidery machines, and other craft supplies. A book sale will also accompany the fabric sale on the second floor above the Senior Center. All books will be available for just $5 a bag full!

Tayamentasachta Annual Apple Festival is Saturday, October 10th 9:00am -3:00pm.  The festival is at Tayamentasachta Environmental Center, 500 Leitersburg St, Greencastle. Buy locally grown apples & produce, warm apple dumplings, make a scarecrow, or enjoy the beautiful fall scenery with friends and family.

Beam’s Blue Mountain Farm will be having their Fall Fest every Saturday in October from 10am-4pm. FREE hayrides though “Scarecrow Hollow” to the pick-your-own pumpkin patch. Fall decorations, baked goods, a straw bale climbing area, and a petting zoo. Beam’s is located at 13374 Lurgan Rd. Newburg.

Reynolds Farm, 11129 Gehr Road, Waynesboro, is a pick-your-own pumpkin farm with hayrides to the pumpkin patch. They will be open on Columbus Day, October 12th. Admission includes Hayride, Play Area, Corn Maze, Grass Maze, & more. Tues. – Fri. 9:30-5:30; Saturday 10 – 6; Sunday 12 – 6

Stoner’s Dairy Farm, 7678 Oellig Rd, Mercersburg, offers plenty of weekend Fall farm activities.  Corn maze, hay rides, petting zoo & more.  Hours are Fridays 7 – 10 pm (Flashlight Maze), Saturday, noon – 10 pm & Sunday noon – 5 pm. Please visit their website for details.  On Saturday, October 10th, they will have a mini fest from 10 am – 5 pm. Inflatable obstacle course, puppet show, scarecrow factory, and potbelly pigs! Admission on Saturday is $6 per person 2 and under free. Included with admission is FREE pedal cart rides for Saturday only. Regular corn maze hours will resume after 5 and they be open until 10 pm on Saturday. Corn cannon and pedal track is also available on regular weekends for additional purchase.

Fall Harvest Days continue at Ashcombe Farm & Greenhouses, 906 W. Grantham Rd, Mechanicsburg.  Farm animals, hay slide, corn maze, corn maze, tunnels, hay rides, pick your own pumpkins, live music & other fun activities!   2015 Fall Harvest Day Event Flyer

Paulus Orchards, 522 East Mount Airy Road, Dillsburg has opened for its Fall Season.  5 acre corn maze, pumpkin patch, pick your own apples, and enjoy some fun in PlayLand with tube slides, corn box, tether ball, giant checker game, little log house, spider web, peddle carts, rubber duck races & more.  All day Weekend Farm Admission $7 (ages 3 and up). Seniors $5 (age 65+). Children 2 and under are free.

The Pennsylvania Renaissance Faire will continue Oct. 10 & 11 at Mount Hope Estate with the theme Halloween Daze & Spooky Knights I. The Faire features costumed characters, themed entertainment, music, dancing, 90 shows daily, royal kitchens, artisan merchants, and handcrafted wares. Mount Hope Estate is located in Northern Lancaster County at 2775 Lebanon Road, Manheim, PA. The event is rain or shine.  Gates open 11 am and close at 8 pm.

Michael’s Kids Club is every Saturday from 10 am – Noon for ages 3 and up. For $2 your child can make a seasonal craft for 30 minutes while you shop!  On Saturday, Oct. 10th the children will be making a Perler Frankenstein. Sign up at Classes & Events | Michaels Stores.
