SHIPPENSBURG
Katie’s Place Thrift Shop is having its next monthly sale this week, July 20, 21 & 22 from 8AM – Noon. The store is located at the old Martin’s Bakery Building (go down the hill to the bottom of the building) at the corner of S. Penn and E. Garfield Streets.
On Friday, July 21st Memorial Park Pool will be having a Splash Party from 8PM-10PM. Admission is $2.
The Luhrs Performing Arts Center at Shippensburg University announced their 2017-2018 season lineup, which goes on sale to the public on Saturday, July 22 at 11 AM. Purchase tickets by visiting or calling the Luhrs Center box office at (717) 477-SHOW or purchase online at luhrscenter.com.
Saturday, July 22 at 7PM, there will be a Tractor Pull at Shippensburg Fairgrounds. Admission: $10.00- Children: $5.00 (Ages 5-11).

The Cellular Connection (TCC) stores across the U.S. are inviting local families to bring their school aged children into their stores on Sunday, July 23rd for School Rocks Backpack Giveaway. Backpacks will be given away on a first-come, first-served basis while supplies last on July 23, 2017 from 1PM – 4PM. Shippensburg’s participating store is located at 201 S. Conestoga Drive. Fayetteville Volunteer Fire Department Carnival is going on now through Saturday, July 22. Fireworks display on Saturday Night 10PM. *** Fireworks have been moved to FRIDAY due to predicted rain on Saturday… they will begin around or shortly after 10pm! Gates open daily 5PM. 101 W. Main St., Fayetteville; 10 cent bingo, cake wheel, food, rides, games; $20 wristband ride all night; nightly entertainment.
Trickling Springs Creamery is having some fun extras on Saturday, July 22, from 11AM- 2PM. Customers will get to meet and speak with one of their farmers. Farm animals will be present for kids and adults to see. Sample products. Slothour’s BBQ Chicken will be available for sale (cash only).
A Miniature Train rides the rails at Norlo Park, 3050 Lincoln Way East, Fayetteville on Saturdays. It is open to riders of all ages. The train, complete with a cattle car and caboose, is FREE to ride on Saturdays weather permitting from 1PM to 4PM throughout Summer & Fall!
North Square Farmers Market, 50 N. Main Street, is Saturday, July 22 from 8 AM to Noon.

The Quilt Odyssey event is a quilt show, contest, workshops, lectures, quilt symposium, quilt appraisals, and more. The Quilt Odyssey will be held July 20-23 in Hershey. Merchant Mall & Exhibits open Thursday through Sunday 10AM – 6PM and Sunday 10AM – 4PM.
